p.s. doubtless there are "flaws" in almost any scientific theory, but there is no alternative theory to evolution that even comes close to its explanatory power for what we observe around us.

There is evidence that masses of people are no longer able to see the flaws in evolutionary thinking. That is mass delusion. I'm different than Joe Biden. However, there's a point where the annoying fool at the back of the class who won't discuss the topic within the bounds of the scientific method needs to either accept science as it is or give it up and go to Bible college.

If that continues to hold, we can know where we will be in the next 10 days (or more). We will likely exceed 250,000 cases and 5000 deaths by then. That is a national tragedy.

It took 9 days from 100 deaths to 1,000 (on March 25th). At that rate, we'll hit 10,000 by April 4. Let's hope we see that curve flatten big time in the next day or so.

I was ex-Army, but I think that didn't matter to the guy because he must have gathered somehow that I was a Christian. Like Hillary, I think he thought Christians were deplorable.

Hillary Clinton is a Christian. She certainly has different beliefs about Christianity than you, but she's still a Christian. And you probably don't want to go down the road of divining who's a "real" Christian and who isn't. My understanding is that's Jesus's job. (FWIW, I'm nonreligious myself).

Humans. They seem to have a flair for the dramatic, the alarming, and the fantastic. It does not look that the US will reach the 80,000 mark in just a matter of weeks, but let's wait and see. If it does not reach that number the false prophets can always say the shelter in place policies were what saved the day, no matter that they will never be able to prove that. It is like the rain man predicting his dance will save the frontier town from flooding if they hire him to do it for them. If the town does not flood he can say his rain dance saved them. If the town still floods he can say they did not respond fast enough to his offer or did not pay him enough to get the job done successfully. The reality is the likelihood of flooding at all would have no doubt been practically nil with or without a dance.

I don't believe everything I hear about the CIA. If the CIA did bad things then it is possible the CIA ran drugs from south of the border through an airport in Mena, Arkansas or that thugs working for President Johnson and claiming to be CIA assassinated JFK.
