Come on, don't be condescending. The other user has a right to his opinion. Besides, that's why they play the game. The games are around the corner and will settle this controversy. The best one will prevail. Then we'll see if you are right, or if the other user is, without the need to belittle a fellow sports fan, here.
By the way, it seems like the consensus supports his opinion rather than yours. In all three polls - the Committee's, the AP's, and the Coaches' - LSU came ahead of OSU. So, do all these learned specialists (coaches, officials, seasoned sports journalists) also "know little"?
I don't see any big outcry from virtually all analysts and pundits, protesting that LSU was considered to be better than OSU by most people. I'd say, only OSU fans at this point will be of this opinion.
But like I said before, it hardly matters. Much more important is to make the playoffs, and both LSU and OSU did. It's not like there is home field advantage in being #1 like in the NFL. To win the national championship you have to win two games against the other top teams, regardless of whether you're ranked #1, #2, #3, or #4. If your OSU is as good as you think, then they will beat Clemson, and next they will beat LSU. We'll see.
