College Football 2018-2019 Season

I doubt college football will exist in anything like its current form in twenty years.

............and the professional game?

Watching my Buckeyes play at the Rose Bowl. It's halftime and the score is OSU-21 Washington-3. For weeks I have listened to the talking heads talk up how this game was a great matchup. Really? It is starting to look like an instant replay of the Clemson/Notre Dame game. Well, unless OSU really screws this up in the second half, Urban Meyer will leave his coaching days at OSU with another great win.

They shoud have been playing against Bama.

I'm an OKLA. U. grad and I openly admit that Bama, Clemson, Georgia, and OSU are the best 4 teams in the country. They just lost too late in the season to a really bad team.

I don't agree with that Bucky but they sure as heck didn't deserve 6th place.

Score at this time OSU 28 Washington 3.

OSU won the Rose Bowl giving Urban Meyer his last win but the Buckeyes were the suckeyes the last half of the game.
Right now I am watching the Longhorns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The committee that has a bias for the SEC shoved the Bulldogs into #5 over my Buckeyes that they placed at #6. And then they matched them up with the Longhorns #15 and they are kicking the **** out of the Bullddogs. Wooot! Gooooo Longhorns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to the Texas Longhorns for their outstanding win in the Sugar Bowl. Salute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a guess but IMO it looks like

1 & 2) Alabama & Clemson
3) Ohio State
4) Oklahoma
5) Georgia

Biggest bowl disppointments: Michigan, Georgia, ND

Army makes it into the top 25 for the first time in 60 years

Not that I'm a 'sip fan ;), but that was pretty funny.

To be fair, most of the best teams did not show up for the bowls. Some of the best players did not play and many of those who did, had no spirit. I also congratulate the Texas Longhorns, however while it's fair that Georgia did not make the playoffs as a two loss team, I still consider them one of the two best college football teams. My pick based on all around skill set is Alabama #1, Georgia #2, OSU closely following at #3, and Oklahoma a distant #4. I don't think Notre Dame belonged in the playoff.

Ha! A long time since I've heard UT fans referred to as "tea sippers." Thanks for the memory.

You're welcome, Jack. I've mellowed a bit, but sometimes it's difficult to look at that burnt orange avatar.... ;)

What about Clemson? Not in your top 4?

It was kinda anti-clatic without Milton & he'll be out next years also. Mack is a good backup but I doubt another win streak
is in the cards for a while. They should however be able to recruit well down the road.

I hope you are wrong about the recruiting, but I'm afraid you are right. Orlando is a great place to go to College. I do worry about another competitor for talent with my 'Noles.
Regards,
CP
