So these actors were given the task of cold reading off a teleprompter. What they read were simply facts about immigration and its costs. Nothing more, nothing less.
When you take emotion out of it, do the cold, hard facts resonate with you like they did for these people?

I think it's high time we respect those immigrants who have come and will come here legally, and not cheat them out of a seat at the table in America because someone else decided to they weren't just as much in need, or didn't have just as much desire, to become a citizen, and cut the line in front of them.

What are the sources for all these claims? Just because "the facts" are being read in a showy way doesn't absolve you of having to source your claims.

Not sure those are real facts. One that really stuck out was that noncitizens commit 22% of murders, a quick google search shows the FBI doesn’t track murders by that and there is no comprehensive data to show one way or another. But a congressman made the claim it was 10% and even that couldn’t be substantiated

You're link/data dumping me. I know this tactic. Find some stats that support the claims made in the video and cut and paste them here.

Did you even click the YouTube link which I provided?
Sigh.

Most of those links dont work and the ones that do are talking about gun laws not illegal immigrants

The very first link I pressed!

politifact.webp

You already posted one stupid youtube video. I'm not clicking on more. Cut and paste some stats from legitimate sites and link to them like a normal online debater.

I did. If you continue to derail this topic instead of actually commenting upon the subject matter and conversation which I started, I'll have to bring your behavior to the attention of the mods.

Nothing in that document says that non citizens commit 22% of all US murders

As you pointed out, the Government does not track that data, but they do track it by race, what does that tell us? Tells me they don't want the extent of the problem known to America, which makes perfect sense when you consider it was a failure to do their job and secure our borders that allowed the illegals in to commit crime in the first place.

It astounds me that American citizens being killed by people who should not be here in the first place doesn't seem to move the needle.

It's a lot easier committing crimes and getting away with them if you live in the shadows....Fact.

Do your thing. Rather than continue to link-dump me, why don't you try copying and pasting the stats and linking to them? That's how this works.

1. Claim (as found in video)
2. Statistic from legitimate source.
3. Link to legitimate source.

Facts require source data for confirmation. Simply because someone reads material off of a teleprompter does not make it a fact.

I am sure that many illegal immigrants cost far more in public services than what they pay in taxes yet one fact that was not included is the cost, per illegal immigrant, of deportation.

By far the most effective way to deter illegal immigration is to deny them any and all public services and to enforce that by arresting, fining and/or jailing any that provide housing, employment, banking or education to an illegal immigrant.

Instead the IRS doles out ITINs that allow (invite?) illegal immigrants to work, eVerify exists yet its use is not mandated, states issue them drivers licenses, landlords rent to them, public schools allow them free education, banks accept their business and employers gladly hire them. Congress critters of both parties refuse to enact and/or adequately fund enforcement of meaningful border or interior immigration laws.

Not only that, but SJWs are actually fetishizing illegals such that they root for them and would rather see illegal immigrants break our laws than have Trump attempt to enforce our laws and make us far less of an attractive nuisance.
We are actually rewarding illegals on so many levels and the absolute worst thing I've seen out of this lunacy is actually demonizing law enforcement (ICE).

Found it the video description had the links

The Cost of Illegal Immigration to US Taxpayers | FAIR (already been debunked for using fuzzy math)

Yup, I had already found my way to what appears to be the group responsible for the video, and they too don't cite any stats. It's unsourced stats all the way down.

Can you link to those rules or source on how it works?

It's how we communicate with each other on an online debate forum so we can have some kind of idea of the context and legitimacy of the claims being made.

I've provided more links and if you would like, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this social experiment, which is the essence of this thread.

Can people look at how illegal immigrants are costing our country without partisanship and emotion?
