God bless the Minnesota State Police.
From the MSM? What, are you nuts? CNN has cooties!
Just shows how wrong you can be even when you're "sure".
God bless the Minnesota State Police.
They didn't arrest the white CNN reporter. God bless them still or...?
Freedom of the press doesn't mean unlimited access.
I did, but again, we don't know the whole story.
My understanding is that all four of them were arrested.
Without knowing more..just going by transcript...looks like cnn guy was blathering away mindlessly, repetitively so as to just stay there...without moving out of the cops' way...just pretending to have that motive
Conservatism, everyone! When "the enemy" has its freedom taken away, they don't even question it. Just "eh, freedom isn't unlimited!" Not even an attempt to justify the arrest. You didn't even try to come up with a flimsy excuse for why their presence deserved this. They were peaceful, and they were cooperative.
My country is in danger. People like you are gleefully marching down the road to fascism and you think you're the ones protecting freedom.
Freedom House? iLOLThe sad part is Americans have so little freedom, they can't even recognize when it's being taken away.
Freedom House | Expanding freedom and democracy
Countries ranked by freedom:
Finland 1

Canada 7

Chile 42

Belize 51
USA 51
Dang, America has dropped to the level of Central American countries in terms of freedom. No wonder Americans don't give a **** about freedom of the press, they're becoming just another Banana Republic.

In case you didn't notice, some of the conservatives who replied to this thread agreed with you about the arrests. If it were reversed, say the police in some liberal city disbanded a conservative event after a federal judge ordered them not to, for example, there'd be virtually no liberals bleating about the first amendment.
It's true though that the conservatives who've supported the police here haven't attempted a justification. Conservatives are more honest than liberals, so we're less likely to resort to technical rationalizations for things we support anyway.
For your example to be analogous, the protesters would have had to agreed to the Federal Judicial order not protest at a particular place, set up at a different place, told the police that came out that if they wanted them to move to a different location that they would even though not ordered by the Judge, but they were arrested anyway.
This is exactly what I was talking about in the second paragraph of post 63.
That would mean acknowledging reality, and THAT is not allowed. "When the cameras come on, the cuffs come out."You didn't watch the video, did you?
