Extreme heat and rain here, drought there, swarms of locusts...you name it. **** is hitting the fan. And, there's even a new report out exploring it.

The wide-ranging State of the Climate report outlines the latest science and includes data from a variety of disciplines in order to evaluate the current and future impacts of climate change on everything from heath and global economies to food insecurity and refugee displacements.

Climate variability is one of the key contributors to this increase in global disruptions due to food insecurity, displacement, and deaths from disasters.

Climate change is disrupting life for millions, a report finds - CNN

Extreme heat and rain here, drought there, swarms of locusts...you name it. **** is hitting the fan. And, there's even a new report out exploring it.

But if you guys got your way and the policies you advocate were implemented the cost wouldn't just be disrupting the lives of millions but impoverishing potentially BILLIONS with your crack brained anti capitalist schemes to get back at those you envy

Extreme heat
If you mean the warmer winters we've been seeing for the last 20 years or so,
hey, bring it on. Summers? Actually they've been cooler in my neck of the woods.
I have a suspicion that summertime max temps have been cooler in more places
than just the eastern United States.

and rain here,
Precipitation is up in the United States. The U.S. has the best weather records in
the world so it's hard to say if there's been more rain in recent years elsewhere.
But there probably has been, see below:

drought there,
Drought is not up; the IPCC tells us that in a warmer climate there will be more
precipitation. Hardly a recipe for more drought if that's what you are implying.

swarms of locusts...you name it. **** is hitting the fan.
Weather conditions have to be right for the locusts to swarm, and it's probably
not the "Hot & Dry" you people are always crying about.

Normally these regions see some rain, locusts reproduce, the area dries out,
and the locusts die. This year, though, there has been so much rain that hasn't
happened yet. Breeding conditions are ideal for them and there has been no
threatening weather to kill them. WDRB

Now I don't know anything about WDRB but you will have to show that the locusts are swarming
because of Global Warming/Climate Change/the Climate Crisis or whatever you people are calling
it these days.

Until you do that, your implication the locust swarms are due to an increase in atmospheric CO2
paints you as full of ****

And, there's even a new report out exploring it.
I'm sure there is.

It's a hard run, trying to convince certain types of people that Global Warming is happening and will get much worse. We have the typical deniers that seem to believe it's some kind of left-wing conspiracy to disrupt their lives. Then there are the types that just-won't-believe it..sort of like the "I can't hear youuuuuu"
The worst ones, to this poster, are the ones that know it's probably true but (being sociopaths..or close to it), have the disgusting thought that: "What the F*** do I care?..I'll be dead long before the proverbial crap hits the fan"
They're the worst of the bunch.

[h=1]Remember when climate alarmists told us global warming was going to kill the U.S. corn crop? Never mind.[/h][FONT=&quot]You may remember seeing scare stories like these in the media. Claim: Climate Change will Cause a Global Corn Crop Failure Global Warming Will Cut Crop Yields – Assuming No Adaption Reality bites in two ways; 1. Actual data shows yield increases, and 2. New study says warming has actually helped corn yields. Research links…

It's always amazing to see know-nothings believe they know more than people who study this stuff for a living.

Yeah, those nasty none-believers keep demanding evidence and stuff. Even when you provide it they examine it skeptically and rip it to pieces or show that there is no significant trouble or whatever....

In addition, even if they got their way,
we would still have "Extreme heat and rain here, drought there, swarms of locusts...you name it."!

Yes, ignoring facts is stupid.

Currently and historically, weather has, of course had impacts on famine and deaths resulting from food shortages.

However, political influences seem to have a more direct and severe impact than rainfall and warmth.

The Horn of Africa highlighted in your article is plagued by a lack of effective governance. It is very likely that with an effective government in place, the impacts of climate would be mitigated or eliminated.

As long as there is lawlessness and rampant crime in the horn of Africa, the poor bastards living there will suffer. Famine is only one of the various curses they endure due to the inhumanity of man to man.

In the 21st Century, with warming at its peak, then famine should also be at its peak, but it is, in truth, vastly diminished from historical norms despite the highest population, worldwide and regionally, ever recorded.

Your call to action to address climate based on this propaganda is empty.

Not one credible organization, anywhere, is denying Climate Change. None.

It's the cause and the remedy that is at question.

Continuously presenting your straw man reveals only your misunderstanding.

Predictions of dire consequence are the entire argument in support of the "WE MUST ACT NOW" brigade of CAGW Alarmists.

We are just about exactly in the middle of a 2 degree temperature variation that has existed for about 9000 years.

We've been warmer and we've been cooler during the Holocene. The coldest point was just about 1880. The warmest part was about 8000 years back.

Your call to panic is noted and acknowledged considering the value it lacks.

It's always amazing to see know-nothings believe they know more than people who study this stuff for a living.

I share your view point.

Can you imagine a group of know nothings recommending frantic panic when we are smack dab I the middle of the global 2 degree temperature variation we've enjoyed for about 9000 years?

Lemmings running off the cliff are interesting to watch, but not fun to follow.

I'm not denying it either. I just don't think it's more than half anthropogenic. And as for consequences, the UN's FAO reports near record crops. Your sky-is-falling argument is without foundation.

These guys cant believe. Their fossil fuel jobs are .on the line.

They are just trying to protect their jobs at any cost

What is amazing is that people think this is the only time in the history of the Earth that something like this is taking place and just because we are here now to witness this event it much be our fault. This warming is going to happen even if there were no human activity at all. There have been serious droughts in the past long before man ever set foot on this planet, there have been ice ages in the past long before man ever set foot on this planet. Who in their right mind would think that things like this won't happen again, and who in their right mind would think that we have the means to stop these cycles from happening, that's just insane.

Can you name a science agency that agrees with you?
