A teacher at a Christian school in Florida is behind bars after authorities caught him with child sexual abuse material generated from artificial intelligence pulled from yearbook photos.

This is the second case of a teacher using yearbook photos to make child sexual abuse material that Law&Crime has reported on this week.

Federal prosecutors from the Western District of Kentucky last month indicted 39-year-old Jordan Fautz on charges of distribution of child pornography and obscene visual representation of child sexual abuse. Fautz was a seventh and eighth grade teacher at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic School in Louisville.

Those Christians sure know their morals. Defending kids from "groomers" like the LGBTQ and Drag Queens. Am I right?

There are pedophiles in all walks of life, from the left to the right, from religious people to atheists. It's sad that you are making this about Christianity instead of how pervasive pedophilia is in general. If a pedophile has no criminal record and has never been caught, they are basically invisible. There are pedophiles everywhere in our society.

There are pedophiles in the LGBTQ community as well, hate to break it to you.

They are everywhere. It's a non-partisan issue.

Unfortunately it's common for people to not be able to live up to their moral beliefs. We all have weaknesses, it's part of our human condition.

BUT, my point being, Christians are always taking a moral high ground. They always seem to do what you just did. Look at them people, they are the pedophiles.
Suggestion: read up on cases of pedophilia and found out where MOST of them happen. Guess where the church fits in? If I am going to pass myself off as morally superior yet my house is rife with priests diddling kids and my parishioners engage in child and wife abuse, I am kinda being a hypocrite.

If the one group, Christians here, is going to make the claim that the whole or majority of another group, LBGT+, are pedophiles, then they should expect as much, when it's one of their own, for it to be done to them. It's the golden rule after all, from the opposite side. If you are supposed to treat others as you want them to treat you, then don't be upset when they treat you as you treated them.

And pedophilia is not all that pervasive. Claims of people being pedophiles are pervasive, especially by people who don't actually understand what pedophila is, and will claim a 20 yo bedding a 17 yo as pedophilia. Further there is a difference between a pedophile who has never been caught and a pedophile who has never offended. And in addition to that, Not all, or even most child sexual assault is committed due to pedophilia. Pedophilia is a disorder that causes a sexual attraction to pre-pubescent minors (hence why any interaction with teens is not pedophilia). But child sexual assault could result from the attacker being psychotic, or just exerting power.

The excuse some people use that everyone does it is almost like saying, well if everyone does it why are you picking on our group?

Where does the church fit in? Statistics please.

Well, why are you picking on the church? Does it fit with your general hatred of the church? Most intances I hear about in today's world are teachers.

I hear about? I bet, Fox News your source?
As for my "picking" on the church, I have my reasons already on this thread. Maybe you missed it.
General hatred of the church? Oh, for crying out loud. Whiners always resort to that canard. Criticism someone or something and it must be "hatred." One of lamest debate tactics out there.
Also a clear indication something in this story has hit home.

Christian creates pornography, therefore ALL Christians are bad.

I'm a Christian and I don't think LGBTQ people, as a group, are pedophiles.

It's important to not stereotype, in either direction.

A lesson isn't invalidated by the hypocrisy of the speaker. I'm sure you could, if you tried a little, come up with an endless list of lessons that are still valid even if the teacher doesn't follow them.

So. Let's get this clear. Because I was accused of "hating" Christians for posting this. Because of my "snide" remark in my opening comment.

Fair enough, but as I also stated on this thread:

BUT, my point being, Christians are always taking a moral high ground.

I am not a church attendee, being atheist, but I know quite a few cases where I live where CHRISTIAN protestors were marching in front of schools displaying pride flags, and I know of one case where CHRISTIANS closed down a planned Drag Queen library reading by blocking the entrance till the police arrived.

Sorry, but if I were a Christian and..............

If I am going to pass myself off as morally superior yet my house is rife with priests diddling kids and my parishioners engage in child and wife abuse, I am kinda being a hypocrite.

Teachers who work at Christian schools aren't necessarily Christian, much less religious. I know someone who is an atheist happily working at a Christian school. She attends chapel with the students, but doesn't teach religion. That's a separate class.

Of course. Still.............

Well folks, there is your answer. These teachers weren't Christian. The church is off the hook.

Such rational objectivity seems to prevail primarily when it's a Christian's hand caught in the cookie jar.

To S'FLAKE'S point.....

What an awful story, and even though AI was used there are still 3 victims here.

I mean, these ended up distributed which means out there beyond control now.

Please. DO NOT read the following link.

Your statistics actually show that Christianity is beneficial to slowing the rate of sexual abuse. Take this stat, for instance, from your source:

1711030586509.png

The rate of sexual abuse of women in the general population is 50%

1711030736893.png

So by your source, and my source, it would seem a woman is 14 times more likely to be sexual abused outside of the Church than in the church.

Most of the high statistics in your source don't differentiate between consensual and non-consensual sexual contact.

I would also venture to say that how the study defines "extramarital affair" and how the average pastor would define it are different.

Of course. Still.............

I just responded to this, but the numbers you provided would indicate that a woman is less likely to be abused within the church than outside the church.

What a sick ****. They really need to start throwing the book at these people and lay down some serious consequences.
But he is a messenger for Christ, should get some slack, no?

Since you like picking selective pieces:
The overwhelming majority (80.1%) of offenders were employed in an official capacity within their respective churches with a substantial minority (19.9%) being volunteers. Pastor 34.9% - Youth Minister 31.4% - Youth Volunteer 8.3% - Associate Pastor 5.4% - Music Minister 4.8% - Volunteer 3.2% - Sunday School Teacher 2.9% - Deacon 2.2% - Church Member 2.2% - Church Camp Worker 0.6%. The most frequent male offender role was a Pastor at 34.9%
Finally, saying it ain't so bad in the church because by golly it happens everywhere is kind of a lame defense. So because there are other people out there who do nasty stuff, it should be ok for me to do nasty stuff too???????????

Why do you think I'm agnostic?
