Christian School Expels Girl for Wearing Rainbow Sweater on Her Birthday

Apparently Rocket didn't know it's significance, or everyone crying about protecting a girl who takes vaping equipment to a Christian school.

What does that have to do with being disciplined for wearing a rainbow sweatshirt on it while off of school grounds and off the clock and eating a cake with a rainbow on it? That was the action that got her booted.

It's like real probation. They can pretty much put you in jail for any silly notion.

I think the school did a silly think, but then we aren't privy to all the violations the girl had. They are private, except for the Juul vape incident the mother admitted there was.

1.)Apparently Rocket didn't know it's significance
2.) or everyone crying about protecting a girl who takes vaping equipment to a Christian school.

1.) you keep stating that made up the claim but theres nothing that factually or rationally supports it LMAO
2.) see now im going to LOGICALLY assume you didnt read the thread because im not aware of anybody (let alone everyone) crying about protecting a girl who takes vaping equipment to a Christian school

can you show that factually happening, i suspect it should be easy to give many many quotes since there must be so many according to you? youll probably dodge again but since its fun Ill be waiting anyway, thanks!

Can you show what factually happened?

The mother admitted to the vaping incident. That is all we know. There is a copy of the letter at some sites of this incident saying this is the results from the October incident.

I think it's silly this thread has gone on for so long with no viable facts. There seems to be no disagreement about the October incident.

Why is this important to you?

Now your just burping non sequiturs. If your unmoored rhetorical question was intended as a response to an ancient Jewish reminder of the divine's covenant with life, then you've lost it...
Then you should ignore me and move on to someone with whom you agree.

Okay.

"You're on probation, so we'll just decide that you're done."

Well, if nothing else, this will teach her to hate authority a little more, and probably sour her on religion, so I have to say that it turned out all right.

From the limited information it seems she was fully aware that one more violation would result in expulsion.

So you think she'll grow up to be a bitter, self-involved atheist who hates anyone whose beliefs differ from hers?

Do you trust other world-renowned scientists who don't believe in AGW climate change? What do you call that science which shuts down all other oppositions to their premise? What do you call that science when the science is up for debate?..I call it ideology. It ain't science.

I trust NASA because I believe results count.

We already know you obviously are not from our country lol but you can keep trying to convince people otherwise if you like. Also you do not in anyway speak for American Christians. Lastly, your statement above is FACTUALLY wrong. Disagree? prove otherwise . . you wont cause you cant . . another posted lie of yours totally goes down in flames for all to see LMAO

Christians don't speak for the lost, the preach and teach to the lost.

She was wearing that shirt at a diner off school property on her own time. Say she was wearing it in her own home. Should have been disciplined for wearing it at the dinner table with her family? This isn't ****ed up to you?

Correct. Again, what is so difficult to understand about abiding by the rules of a private school? If the school was a private Socialist Atheist, American-hating, religious-hating school and she was caught with a flag and a Bible despite rules to the contrary, do you believe they have the right to expel her for violating the rules?

DODGED!!! just like i said and ZERO support for your made-up dishonest claims, LMAO awesome!

1.) not needed for anything we are discussing
2.) meaningless to your false claims and lies
3.) also meaningless to your false claims and lies
4.) who said its important to me, what is fun is exposing the false dishonest claims and lies that you factually cant back up though

see the honest and integrity based thing to do would be to simply admit your post was out of line but you choose not to make it worse for yourself and even more entertaining for the rest of us

so here we are in the same spot

A.) please provide what in the OP factually shows or even logical hints that the author is unaware of the info you posted
B.) please show this very long list of qoutes of people crying about protecting a girl who takes vaping equipment to a Christian school

or simply admit you misspoke

Translation: you can't defend the lies you just got caught posting LMAO

thats what I thought

in the future simply refrain from posting lies an your posts wont fail so hard. Youre welcome

To be fair, that's not how some Christians act.

Thank you. My church (Anglican) welcomes gays and ordains them. Some parishes perform same sex weddings. I have a cousin who goes to a church that flies the rainbow flag during Pride Week and has been known to march in Pride parades.

Lovely. Teaching the values of a book filled with murder, revenge, spite, vengeful gods, rape, talking snakes and pillaging. Great reading material for children. View attachment 67271913

Secular hedonists: 'Parents, don't teach your kids from the Bible, it will damage their brains which have evolved from monkey's uncles. Let our Darwinist Sociopaths in schools and universities put them on the right path toward enlightenment, and allow our entertainment industry to teach them to have fun.'

Teaching them things like "exile anyone who doesn't conform to our religious indoctrination?"

That's a bad thing.

Our Christian school does expel students for serious violations of Christian rules and principles. "Exile" is probably not the right word. Kids get expelled, not exiled, from public schools all the time for misbehaving.

I see that. Maybe this is because of your own animus? One can be respectful and compassionate for others without selling out one's own beliefs. If the issue is homosexuality, and I don't know whether it is, the student handbook spells out clearly what this Baptist-run school's view is. The parents would have been aware of the school's core values before enrolling their daughter. They chose this school.

Animus? Perhaps. I was a Fundie for 35 years and graduated from Liberty University. I've seen the real deep hatred for gay men. That's the true animus.

Anyway, yes they knew the policy. But why is a shirt with rainbow on it is a violation outside of school?

I read the handbook. No where is it written that their dress code policy applies when off school grounds and off the clock.

Why are you Ok with a private school dictating what a student wears and eats while off of their property on their own time in the privacy of their own home? That's very nanny state, prying into people's personal lives.
A public domain photo isn't "in their privacy of their own home". There's no such thing as privacy for content posted to the Internet. One of the many reasons why I have no use for social media.

Do I approve of employers, universities, and even schools monitoring/policing the morality of their charges online? I understand why they do it. Admittedly I'd much prefer a world where everyone stayed off the Facebooks and Twitters of the world, both to pry into others' lives and expose their lives for prying. Our society is unfortunately headed down this path, however, and institutions pay a price for ignoring what their charges do. The rest of the world certainly won't.

Yes, you would "spit venom" for those things. You people freak out all the time over some CEO getting canned because he's a bigot, or an advertiser bailing on a Fox News host because of their nonsense.
First of all, I'm not "you people" and I don't represent "you people".

Secondly, I've never freaked out over a CEO getting fired, and if I did, it would be because he was fired from a company he helped build or because there was no indication his beliefs ran contrary to corporate "culture" when he was brought on.

Thirdly, I've never freaked out over an advertiser bailing on FOX News; I can't imagine any circumstances where I would.

Finally, "you people" spitting venom doesn't justify the venom spitting in this thread.

That's a great book, you should read it. It's a informative history lesson about the legislation of nanny state morality and that dark period when Hollywood was forced to churn out sanitized fluff that the public didn't want to watch.

It was a violation because the school takes a totalitarian view of it's students behavior. That is pretty clear from the handbook. Unlike some posters, I don't think this girl intended to violate any rules by wearing a rainbow and having a rainbow birthday cake. She knew she was on probation and so did her parents. Her mother would hardly have wanted to get her in trouble and certainly didn't want her expelled. Had she known that rainbows would get such a reaction, she wouldn't have shared the picture on Facebook.

My speculation is that this expulsion is a combination of the school watching the student closely and over interpreting her actions, and a fear of changing attitudes toward sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular on the part fundamentalist Christians

I read the handbook. No where is it written that their dress code policy applies when off school grounds and off the clock.

What does the contract the parents signed say? Additionally, from my quick scan of the handbook, there's some loose language in there that can be interpreted by however they see fit.

Do you agree private schools can expel students for behavior contrary to their rules and/or principles?

From the limited information it seems she was fully aware that one more violation would result in expulsion.

You have some weird ideas about atheists.

This wasn't a Madrassa.

And the Taliban kills LBGTQ people.

Hyperbole and stupidity in one post.
I hear Whitefield also expels students for public drunkenness, sexual exhibitionism, and incest. I don't think even the madrassas go that far.

A "straitjacketed evangelical hellhole", like @HamishHowl says. Definitely not like America's quality public schools.
