This my country every bit as much as it is yours and if it sinks we ALL sink. That's not what I wish for myself. So don't dare to suggest to me that I am "on board for sinking the country". That's just an ugly thing to say to any American.

Donald Trump and our country is NOT one and the same thing. Just the suggestion is pretty naziesgue, as in the leader and the state being one and the same.

I'll make a prediction that a few days ago, I wouldn't have had the confidence to make, but here goes nothing: Trump will lose reelection.

I think Trump's goose is cooked. He is putting the economy well on the path to at least a slowdown, and possible a recession. I expect this to go on for the next year, which will sink his reelection chances if the Dow is puking up its lunch every other day like it is right now.

Trump truly painted himself into a corner. If he backs out of the tariffs, he looks weak to his base. If he goes forward, the consumer public will feel higher prices at retail stores, and they will hold Trump entirely accountable. No matter what he does, he will piss off a large segment of the public he needs to be reelected. The best he could do is beg Xi for a cease fire, where he gets a face saving measure out of his mess, but I don't know if Xi will be up for that given that he knows what's at stake for Trump in this fight, and knowing he can just wait fifteen months.

If and when he loses, its going to get very, very ugly in this country.

That's not what your anti-Trump before country posts say. As I said before and I will say it again just in case you missed it the first time.... If you respected your country, you would respect the right of the voters who put Trump in office, but you don't and that says VOLUMES about your politics.

There's only one reason that Trump is desperate to win in 2020, it's because he doesn't want to go to jail. For, once he's out of office, the indictments are going to fall on him like rain. The Manhattan DA and the SDNY have investigations ongoing. The house Judiciary Committee will win their day in court and all the people that Trump prevented from testifying and all the documents that had been refused to be turned over will be when the court orders it. He may be impeached but that's not going to get him out of the White House. Only losing the election will and he will get desperate, even more than he is now, just to keep himself safely embedded in the White House to escape prosecution.

I don't care who voted this bastard into office. The smart ones, the ones with critical thinking and logic have turned against him. It's the ones that rather see this country hollowed out from the bottom up rather than say a single word against this despot. So no, it's not the voters that put him there, it's YOU people that KEEP him there.

If you mean we --- those people in this country that can read the writing on the wall and see Trump for what he is, then yes, we know what's coming, we have always known what's coming. We prayed it wouldn't but it is. You nor any other Trumper can put that genie back in the bottle now, it's too late.
