No such thing. It is always a delicate and dynamic balance. Generally speaking, we have found that socialism for the protection of basic human rights, as outlined in the 1948 Universal declaration of human rights, is a good place to start. These include things like the right food, water, shelter, a basic education, and access to healthcare. The free market can rule the day for everything else. But basic human dignity must be protected. The consequences of not doing so are not only heartless and inhumane, but create a politically and economically unstable society. That is not the kind of environment that capitalism can thrive.

So ironically, it turns out a little socialism is crucial for capitalism to perform optimally. Yin and yang strike again.

Unlike the libs, I like his order to defer payroll taxes and hope he makes it permanent. IMO, collecting tax is in his wheelhouse, so I see that move as legal. However, I will be very pissed if I get a $6650 bill in a year, asking for repayment.

And, if I understand how he wrote this EO, it should even please the libs because it exempts the first $100K of income from payroll collection. That means every dime earned above $100K gets hit with the 6.65% tax, up to the new limit. Whatever that will be now though is anyone's guess.
