What laws has Trump broken?

More hyperbole and rhetoric, eh?

He was quoted as saying he would pardon an official if he went to jail for denying people the right to apply for asylum. He suggested doing so in another context, that is, simply sending people back without a determination process, which would violate US law (Refugee Act of 1980), and three treaties the US has ratified, The Convention and the Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees and the Convention Against Torture. Some of his illegal attempts in this area have been blocked by the courts.

And, of course, Trump pledged to do torture worse than waterboarding, and suggested killing the families of terrorists, a war crime. We hanged people after WWII for such activities. Fortunately, saner members of his staff and administration have prevented some of his more ghastly ideas from going beyond his madman-ravings stage.

One thing has nothing to do with the other.
If you concede on the first point, you concede the point. If you want to make a new claim, that "someone who believes person A is an asshole for enforcing law *should* push for changing the law" be my guest, post away. It doesn't save your incorrect claim.

You need to be strict with your reasoning...not for me, or for any other forum goers who you appear to despise...for yourself. Get your reasoning straight for you... and you might be taken more seriously.

This actually ties into my first post in this thread...the one about AOC's hyperbole and rhetoric...with no solutions.

That's when a member started talking about "assholes"...as if that excuses AOC for her nonsense.

Now...if you want to go around and around with your "strict reasoning", be my guest. I'll pass.

In any case...

1. AOC and her buddies are engaged in hyperbole, rhetoric...and no solutions.

2. A person enforcing the law is not an asshole. He's doing his job by enforcing the law.

3. If you don't like a person enforcing the law, change the law.

Moving on...

"he would" Did he? "suggested" I don't care about what you think he "suggested".

I asked "What laws has Trump broken".

Don't bother me with hyperbole and rhetoric. Just answer the question...or admit you lied.

It's sickening to throw children into concentration camps. I guess some people need to be reminded of that.

Whodda thunk it?

Quick search got a few references of up to 25 times the court has blocked his actions. I don't know how to copy and paste on this device or I would post the links, which include the WashPost, Politico, The New Yorker and USA Today. You know, the " Enemies of the People."

And yet...still no laws broken.

She asked to testify under oath

I wouldn't be surprised if Nancy "suggested" to her that she do that. AOC is inexperienced enough to believe whatever reasoning Nancy would give her.

Interesting that liberals got their collective panties in a bunch at the thought that Trump MIGHT through executive action defy the courts re census now demand that he defy court ordered deportations.

Curious.........

You seem to be implying there is some risk for her... Please elaborate..

Testifying under oath COULD open the door for charges of lying to Congress IF repeat IF she was not truthful or embellished her testimony. Agian I haven't seen or read what her testimony was, so not sure if she lied. With the enemies AOC is making in her party this COULD come back to bite her.

He did break the law, which is why the courts stopped him from continuing to break the law. Look it up.

You are also forgetting the obstruction findings in Mueller’s report, albeit on another subject.

Trump did not break the law. He has never been charged, much less convicted, of anything. Now, he has taken action that someone didn't like and the court ruled against Trump, but that doesn't mean he broke any law.

And those "Mueller findings" mean nothing...until someone charges him with a crime and he is convicted.

Sorry if that chaps your ass, but that's reality.

Trump did not break the law.

Agreed. AFAIK, the current practice of the Trump administration of using Concentration Camps to incarcerate brown skinned children is not against the law. Besides which, it fits perfectly with his primary strategy to energize his base.

And it works really well, a lot of the base they love them some Concentration Camps for the brown skin folks. They'll defend them 'til the cows come home.

Spin noted and dismissed...but at least you are honest enough to agree that Trump has broken no laws.

Yes, they fit in that basket, as described by Hillary Clinton in 2016.

*USA literally committing war crimes and denying basic human rights*

Conservatives: ...

*Anyone anywhere else in the world does something they don't like*

Conservatives: "BOMB THEM!"

When the court rules against you, it means you were in violation of the law. Some didn't like his actions, and they were found to have violated the law. Under current standards, the remedy for presidential lawbreaking is impeachment. That was the meaning of Mueller's comments.
