Catastrophe of Biblical Magnitude

Much like what is described in the Bible.......

Luke 21
9 When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”

10 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

.......... might be coming!

The virus might just be one of many disasters and upheavals that's about to descend on us........IF NASA's prediction proves to be bang-on!

NASA Predicts Next Solar Cycle will be Lowest in 200 Years (Dalton Minimum Levels) + the Implications - Electroverse

It had happened before. The question is: how will it compare with the precedents?

you can not predict the end

And clearly that generation passed away. So either Yahweh/Jesus can't communicate with the skill of a modern middle school student, or He was wrong.

Has it? What generation would that be? What time period?

Maybe the false prophets we were warned about.

The one guy you really got ot be careful of is that guy paul/saul.

Why, yes, I do. The way it lies about the Jewish scriptures to promote it's version of God is astounding.

Jewish scriptures are fiction too, you know.

Maybe the false prophets we were warned about.

Like Jesus, when he said he would return within the lifetimes of some of those who were present?

The people who were there listening to him speak. If you're giving a speech to high school grad class and you say "this generation" we all know who you're referring to: The generation graduating high school.

But then I'm sure as with almost everything else in the bible, everyone will interpret it to suit their own personal beliefs.

God really has an easy job.
Whatever goes wrong he can blame on that Satan.
But - isn't Satan also one of his creations?
So he is responsable all the same.

Indeed. God chose which universe he would create, and he chose one with Satan in it, and chose to do nothing about him. That's like a parent needing a babysitter, looking at a long list of potential candidates, many with impeccable references, and then choosing the guy who was in jail for the last 20 years on a pedophile rap.

Mayans would be played by any number of long gone empires.

Why did you edit out that Mayans would be played by "Jews," and put in they would be played by "any number of long ago empires?"

Jews were into sacrificing stuff but, They never had an empire. [bad example]

I blamed this pandemic on Satan. God gave us the free will to make that choice.

Wrong, there are signs Jesus gave that did not occur within the generation he was speaking to then, so that means he gave a two-fold prophecy, one to occur within their generation and one to occur within a future generation...some of those signs for a future date included international warfare, famine, disease, many earthquakes, and an increase in lawlessness...Matthew 24:3, 7, 12; Luke 21:11; Revelation 6:2-8...

Another future sign can be found in Matthew 24:14...“This good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

And then there's the tribulation upon Jerusalem in 70 CE that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:3, 21...as a comparison of Matthew 24:15-22 with Luke 21:20-24, Jesus pointed forward to a far greater tribulation, one affecting all nations that is yet to come...

Jesus also mentions in Matthew 24:29 refers to “those days” and when Mark 13:24 mentions “those days” and “that tribulation,” there will be striking phenomena...as represented by sun and moon being darkened, stars falling, and powers of heaven being shaken...as well as fulfillment of “the sign of the Son of man”...

You know what the most interesting thing about those foretold events: it can easily be interpreted in any context and can be applied to earlier periods of history during Christianity’s existence

All occurring within one generation...that is a major difference...

The fall of Rome and the onset of the dark ages could easily be applicable to the period of tribulation.

Yes, I already stated that was one fulfillment...I also pointed out signs that would occur in the 2nd fulfillment that did not come to pass in the 1st...

Tell that to the dead Covid victims.

A disease that kills so few that come down with it as this one does is far far from a disaster. and yes I would say the same to relatives of those who died from it.
