Cardinal: Church destroyed documents on clergy sex abuse

Feb. 23 (UPI) -- German Cardinal Reinhard Marx said Saturday the Catholic Church destroyed files to prevent documentation of decades of sexual abuse of children by clergy members.

The cardinal gave details of a study conducted in Germany to 190 leaders, including cardinals, bishops and heads of religious orders, attending the third day of the four-day summit convened by Pope Francis in the Vatican.

"Files that could have documented the terrible deeds and named those responsible were destroyed or not even created," Marx, the archbishop of Munich and president of the German Bishops' Conference, said during his half-hour speech. "Instead of the perpetrators, the victims were regulated and silence imposed on them.

"The stipulated procedures and processes for the prosecution offenses were deliberately not complied with but instead canceled and overridden."

COMMENT:-

As you can see, the RCC Inc. is taking the completely unproven so-called "allegations" that are being made by those minions of Satan VERY seriously (possibly due to their capacity to perturb the income stream of the RCC Inc.).

Unsurprising given that the church is a manifestation of grotesque power abuse.

Its because of the gays.

I've seen this defense thrown around on FB, before I uninstalled it. That the LGBTQ community has infiltrated the catholic church to undermine and destroy it.

It's a criminal organization, based on theft, rape, and murder. It must be utterly demolished.

It wouldn't surprise me to see something along the lines of "They thought that they were doing the right thing, but now that they have seen the errors of their ways, confessed, done their assigned penance, and been absolved, we should just move on in Jesus' Name." emerging as a result of this.

The odds of a single priest being defrocked because they covered up the crimes are so low as to be laughable - after all, defrocking a priest "who only thought that they were doing their duty to the church" would be "harmful to the image of the church as a source of compassion and forgiveness" - wouldn't it?

I don't give a damn if they're defrocked. I want them in jail.

It's surprising to me that given how rampant this was, that more of these predators are not in jail.

Hard to imagine that would be the case if we were talking about any organization other than a major world religion.

Or rich. Being able to buy silence sure solves a lot of problems, at least it has for Trump and his buddies when it comes to women.

But they have made their confession, done their penance, and received absolution.

Isn't complying with "The Word of God" sufficient?

If they were "sheltered" and the potential accusers convinced that they would be "harming God's Work" if they took their allegations public, it shouldn't be.

I mean, I guess it would harm God's work, if God's work was the proliferation of pedophilia.

Of course "spreading paedophilia" was not "God's Work".

What "God's Work" was was "spreading God's Word until everyone belonged to the "One True Religion" and anything that cast a negative light on "God's Servants" would interfere with "spreading God's Word until everyone belonged to the "One True Religion" and anything that would interfere with "spreading God's Word until everyone belonged to the "One True Religion" was going against "God's Work" and anything that went against "God's Work" was "The Work Of The **D*E*V*I*L**!!"

At least that's how it was likely explained to the recipients of "the priests special attentions".

Some cannot be jailed, due to statute of limitations

Here's a question for you to have some fun with:

When does the statute of limitations start to run on "obstruction of justice" and how long is the period from the time it starts to run until the time it ends?

Some cannot be jailed, due to statute of limitations

Had a second thought

If it can be shown that official agents, acting as official agents, for the Roman Catholic Church were involved in an organized effort to conceal crimes and protect criminals from prosecution AND if it could be found that they were doing so in order to obtain money for the RCC, could the RCC be held to be a "Racketeer Influenced" and/or "Corrupt Organization" within the meaning of the RICO laws?

PS - Watch your answer because the RCC Inc. wasn't the only "church organization" that was involved in this type of behaviour.
