Canelo vs GGG

This may come down to who has the most gas left in their tanks. The body punches Canelo seems to be investing in may be beneficial. But the way they are throwing punches anything can happen.

Another close round but GGG was still sharper

5-4 Alvarez.

GGG really took control of this round I’ve got it 5-5 through 10. Alvarez now bleeding from nose too

Read that Canelo says he was headbutted.

GGG looks to be tireless taking round 11

After 11 ESPN reports Canelo 105 to 104.

Appears this is going to the judges. This sounds it would be very hard to judge. How do you evaluate a body shot to a head shot?

Both fighters going all out to the end. I’ve got it 7 rounds to 5 for GGG. Let’s see what the judges say

Thanks for the live details guys.

Looks like Alvarez got the decision but it was close

That would have been a very tough match to judge. From the site I was at it sounded like Canelo came on stronger of the two. But I am only reading someone's interpretation.

Canelo was sharp early but he got winded and sloppy quick and GGG was able to capitalize but not enough to win, apparently

I am hearing it was a draw.

There are different reports on the decision at these different sites??

Well it would have been nice to watch but didn't feel like paying $84 to watch it at home.

Thanks to everyone who joined in reporting here.

This was what I thought of the fight as well.

Canelo was the superior fighter early on but was committed to KO GGG, his corner told him to stop because it was clear he wasn't going to be able to but by then it was too late and Canelo was gassed. If the fight had went on for a couple of more rounds GGG would have won because he was clearly getting better as Canelo was running out of energy. Canelo deserved the win, but had it continued it was pretty clear GGG would eventually be the winner if they had fought till one man hit the mat.
