CA Gov Newsom signs law to mandatory background checks or gun parts

Also makes it illegal to sell any precursor part to someone under the age of 21 and all transactions have to go through a FFL and a background check will need to be done, $1 if you have a gun registered to the address that's listed on your drivers license and $15 if you do not (which from then on you'll be on record and any new purchases and you can then use the $1 for the DROS). Doesn't go into effect until 2024.

So anyone who wants to customize there firearm they already own or wants to replace a broken part will be subjected to extra fees and wait times.

Very few people actually do this kind of thing. This is politicians just doing for the sake of doing, passing boutique bills just to trade votes for something else, and avoid casting votes on things that matter.

Try it in many other States such as mine and see how that works out for ya. Then again those politicans that run my state believe in retaining the 2nd A so this sort of nonsense will never be instituted.

Really, people open and conceal carry all over this great State. Some people on the other hand have stupid ideas and often act on them.

They do NOW, it's a recent change. Your 'great state' originally banned open carry so as to disarm blacks and minorities by denying them conceal carry permits. Your 'great state' has a long history of anti-gun policy and is turning blue with Californian migrants.
