California state democrats are a special breed. They've run the damned state for so long that they wouldn't recognize a compromise if it was shoved up their nostrils. I always vote republican for state legislative positions. Always.

I'm not ignoring it, I think what he said was depraved. In context though it was a conversation taped without consent with no actions witnessed. With Clinton he directly lied about getting blown in the Oval Office and then basically got off scott free despite perjury and having sexual relations with one of his staff. I just think the Dems are the last one to hold the Donald to any standard of sexual ethics when they were fine with keeping Clinton in office and letting him campaign for Hillary. Most would say Weiner was a bad guy, but then again he's not in office or running against Trump either (I do genuinely feel sorry for Huma though). The Dems protected Clinton when he was president and his consequences are minimal, I hardly think they have any right to judge Trump for his comments made over a decade ago.

again I can't get over that you're trying to highlight the fact that the conversation was taped without his consent, when on that very tape he didn't seem to give the slightest thought about the concept of consent.

I would never be among the group holding up their middle finger. This is stupid. It's also stupid when Dennis Prager, who is a fairly moderate radio host, has said every day for months that all liberals are evil and are actively trying to destroy America.

Ignore the California and New York politicians. Real Americans are found in the heartland of America, where (such as MN, where I live) you only have extreme reactions when police officers murder innocent people. Aside from that, a heated discussion is one where somebody politely disagrees and walks away. Pretty crazy partisan stuff. That's why it doesn't make the papers. There are plenty of sick, deviant, hypocritical Republicans as well, such as Larry Craig, Scott DesJarlais, David Vitter for example. I'm not going to ask you to defend them, because we're talking about Trump.

So - let's talk about what Trump has done in his public life. He rose to fame being a lying racist claiming Obama was an illegal immigrant. He lied during his campaign claiming thousands of Muslims in New Jersey were cheering the attack on the twin towers.

Defend that.
