BUTTE - A Butte woman returned to her home on Florence Avenue Friday evening to find a strange man asleep on her couch.
She held the man at gunpoint until police arrived and arrested Michael Berberick of Billings, who was found with a pistol and brass knuckles.

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo Police Department is investigating a reported home invasion in which at least one of the three suspects was shot.
Around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the 700 block of Box Elder Street for a reported home invasion.
The two residents told officers that a white car pulled up and parked in front of the home. Three men exited the vehicle and entered the home through the front door. A physical altercation followed and one of the residents fired a handgun at the intruders. The three intruders quickly left and the residents said they believe that two of the three suspects were hit by the gunfire.

Cynthia Ruiz, a widow and single mother, revealed that she collapsed when San Antonio police officers notified her that her 19-year-old son, Andrew Herrera, had been shot and killed the previous night during an attempted robbery at Popeyes Chicken in the 800 block of Southeast Military Drive.
“Did my son deserve to be punished? Yes, he did,” she said.
Police stated that Herrera, in a hoodie and a mask, entered the restaurant with a gun and confronted a man and his family.
After the man explained that he had spent all the money he had on the dinner, Herrera turned and pointed the gun towards the counter at one worker who was running away.
The man, who had a license to carry a concealed weapon, took the opportunity and fired at Herrera several times.

"Police say the victims were struck in the area of Harrison Street and Carroll Street just after 11 p.m.
Four sustained critical injuries and were rushed to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, where they later died.
They were identified as 37-year-old Al Malik Williams, 37-year-old Otis Smith, 22-year-old Unique Jones, and 25-year-old Nygier Barrett.
A 24-year-old man was treated and released, while a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were admitted and are in stable condition.
The incident is believed to be gang related, and the gunmen fled the scene in a black vehicle.
No arrests have been made..."

"PHILADELPHIA - police are investigating a shooting Friday in Cedarbrook that left a man dead.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. on the 8400 hundred block of Williams Avenue.
Police say a 32-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest and right leg.
The man whose identity remains unknown was taken to Einstein Hospital where he died a short time later.
No weapon was recovered police say. No arrests have been made at this time..."

Drug deals gone bad, turf wars over drugs, one drug dealing gang feels disrespected by another. When people have no recourse to the law, they have to use their own violence.

"A large party at a mansion in Southern California turned deadly Monday night after shots were fired. Two people were seriously wounded and one was killed in the incident, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
CBS Los Angeles reports that the party took place at a mansion on West Mulholland Drive in L.A.'s upscale hillside neighborhood of Beverly Crest. Gunfire erupted around 12:47am
