Bolton: Rudy Giuliani is 'a hand grenade who’s going to blow everybody up'

shrug...

People lie in Congressional hearings all the time. Comey, Clapper, Brennan come to mind.

In any case, I didn't say Hill lied. I said that Bolton didn't say anything...not to Congress, the media or to anybody. Hill is the only one who said anything.

But oh don't you worry. He will.

Cool.

Until then, saying that Bolton said anything is a lie.

Again, you're claiming perjury was committed with no supporting evidence. You say it is a lie. But when Bolton confirms her account, are you going to say "Ah, now it is the truth,"? Like a magical transformation takes place?

Witnesses under oath are assumed to have told the truth until there is evidence otherwise.

She was in there for 10 hours and all we get is a few clips. Why is it we dont get to see the full transcript?

Simple, because they do not want other people wait to testify to have their story corrupted by previous witnesses and so some can compare notes so they stay with a set story to be presented. In the end everyone will get to hear what is being testified to, the committee and Nancy will let you know when they are done and not before.

I've made no such claim.

From the OP:

"Former national security adviser John Bolton called President Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani "a hand grenade who’s going to blow everybody up," according to former Trump aide Fiona Hill."

"I'd say something bad about Giuliani here, but Bolton did it for me."

And my response:

"Bolton? Bolton hasn't said anything."

So...until Bolton actually says something, the OP is incorrect.

Moving on...

And just like that, Bolton was the darling of the Democratic Party.

That's not the way it works and this perspective has always been about denial. Just like that, Bolton is a traitor. Just like that, Mattis is a traitor. Just like that, anybody who criticizes trump is a traitor.

Bolton continues to be an irrationally hawkish idiot who makes all of his decisions on false ideologies rather than facts. But the fact that he has issued some truth does not make him a darling. The fact that you prefer to hold to a twisted perspective of what telling the truth means is evidence that you prefer the theme of denial. Giuliani is a hand grenade. Given that...

- ...he has long instigated and encouraged the Biden/Ukraine conspiracy theory that helped Trump get his hand caught in the cookie jar
- ...he has at least three foreign-born clients (Lev Parnas, Igor Fruman, and Reza Zarrab) involved with conspiracy, laundering, campaign fraud, etc.
- ...and he can't seem to keep his big mouth shut

...proves the description aptly. The idiot Trump's only real friend in the world is another idiot. Thanks to Giuliani's unwitting assistance, we are seeing what Trump was so afraid of during the Muller investigation and why he chose to make that about himself. Stop backing this idiot and start backing Conservatism.

The idea that Bolton, the guy who sat there with a pornstache and defended holding another guy's head under water, thought you were going too far is all the evidence I need to think you probably are.

Lol, you are losing your own narrative.

Conservatism doesn't support what he really cares about. Trump does.

The Left has always hated Bolton, but now that he speaks against the President, he's ****ing awesome.

Well, I have always hated Bolton. I also hate Rumsfeld. Know why? Aside from Rumsfeld being the worst SECDEF in American history, both of their shallow hawkish stupidity and ignorance has nothing to do with being of the Right and they are entirely bad for Foreign Policy.

I don't think anybody on the Left looks on Bolton as awesome simply because he spoke a truth. If Pelosi all of a sudden criticized Sanders for being far too socialist-minded would she be awesome to you? No, she would have merely spoke a truth.

Can't be true, Trump only hires the best people.

Rebuke? What a joke; sounds like butthurt.

Sounds like appropriate condemnation.

No matter who turns on Trump, you and the rest behave as if you, personally, have been betrayed. Anybody and everybody who rightfully criticizes Trump is simply "butthurt." After dismissing Bolton, right here on this thread, you decided to dismiss some 128 Republicans too.

You default to this because you people have hoisted this anti-Conservative above your shoulders and declared that he represents your beliefs, whatever those even are anymore. Therefore, a criticism towards Trump is a criticism of the Right, thus you. The Left didn't do this. You all chose to do this to yourselves throughout the Obama years and when you began announcing that the opposite of not liking Trump means a love affair with Pelosi or "the Left." This is why whenever somebody quits Trump, you all brand them as traitors or RINOs. It's you people who suddenly switch and turn on people. Even General Mattis and General Kelley wasn't safe from the Trump loyalists when they quit him. Trump has always deserved every scrap of criticism he has ever gotten and he is right now, apparently, determined to feed his critics at every turn. The man has become bolder and bolder about being bad and is openly daring people to criticize him now because you people encourage to keep pushing the line. Even with some 128 Republicans in the House joining the Democrats in criticizing him, you still choose to only see "butthurt."

Obviously, he's left his supporters in Congress very little room to maneuver anymore. This is what he did with their blind loyalty. He led them right into an embarrassing corner. And now his only real friend in the world appears to be Giuliani, the obvious "hand grenade" who can't keep his stupid mouth shut about Trump's personal shady crusades. He's getting nastier because over the years he learned that the nastier he gets the more love he gets from his irrational base. In the end, I can see Trump demanding that Giuliani bite the bullet, fall on the sword, and take the blame for him. That's the historical price of being in Trump's circle. The question is why are there still people, after all of this, who still can't bring themselves to criticizing Trump.

If you look closely at our modern-day Presidents, you will discover that Trump represents the worst of Nixon, Carter, Reagan, and Obama. He represents the best of nobody, because he is a world-class narcissist (probably has Narcissistic Personality Disorder) who bases all decisions on whims, whether or not it will feed his ego, and whether or not it benefits him personally. Just what does this man have to do for you all to stop betraying yourselves?

You haven't made the case that he's any less conservative than any other Republican president, but you keep braying like you have.

You haven't made the case that he's any less conservative than any other Republican president, but you keep braying like you have.

You keep denying because this is an indictment of you too. Ultimately, you cling to his extremist use of Conservative generalities and ignore his anti-Conservatism. Perhaps we should actually look at what is supposed to define conservatives:

- Pro-gun because they want to be able to defend themselves against criminal threats of any type.
- Mostly religious because religious rituals foster feelings of safety in a dangerous world such that the most dangerous countries in the world are also the most religious.
- Tend to be more hostile to immigrants, foreigners, and racial or ethnic minorities.
- Fear attacks by other nations and therefore support a strong military and a bellicose foreign policy on the theory that a good attack is the best defense.
- Apart from military defense, where government is an asset, conservatives fear government intrusions into their lives and particularly fear having their wealth eroded by taxation.
- Pro-family because being surrounded by close relatives is the best defense against threats that surround them.
- Oppose welfare for the poor because this encourages dependence so that the failures of a society are parasites on the successes thereby inverting the proper incentive structure.
- Admire wealth because successful people are seen as having worked hard in pursuing a moral obligation to provide for themselves and their families.

Now, on to the populist:

- Trump is on record for declaring that the GOP is scared of the NRA and has insisted that he is working on a package of gun control measures, which includes the tighter background checks that Conservatives have voiced to not wanting to see. So much for pro-gun.

- He has clearly exaggerated the anti-immigration thing for you, but his exploitation of it is also obvious. No actual move to reform the busted system but "build that wall!" In the meantime, American farmers across the nation, who routinely vote Republican, employ illegal immigrants.

- He has suspended aid to Ukraine, thereby opening an ally to an enemy in which Trump's own 2017 National Security Strategy declares. He has denigrated, insulted, and even betrayed allies to the point where even our inept CIA is concerned about his big mouth and our Intel. He has taken money away from the Pentagon, thereby denying military projects that need it. And he has given the complete power to shape the Syria situation to Russia, Turkey, and Iran. And not just there. He has systematically removed American influence from virtually every region on the planet through his perversion of the meaning of America first. So much for this draft dodger's idea of a "strong military" and national defense against enemies.

- Trump is a serial adulterer who solicited sex from pornographers. So much for family and Christianity.

- However, since he is a walking example of nepotism, he clearly went extreme here and has kept his family members close (while paying porn actresses to stay away).

- He has perverted your sense of the wealthy in that you find yourself respecting his permanent cuts to the wealthy at your expense and you accept that he refuses to show you his personal and business taxes.

- And he has used the military and foreign governments to float his failing businesses abroad. So much for ethics.

Now, on to other Republican Presidents:

- Was Bush or Reagan serial adulterers?

- Did Bush or Reagan go out of their way to insult allies during wartime?

- Did Bush or Reagan declare that the GOP is afraid of the NRA?

- Did Bush or Reagan pat themselves on the back for giving the military money, then pat themselves on the back for taking it away in order to throw it at extremist partisan projects?

- Did Bush or Reagan cling to extremist tag lines to capture you heart?

Not only is Trump a walking contradiction to his own National Security Strategy, but you essentially support and defend a draft-dodging, adultering, silver-spooned elitist who places his personal selfish interests above the nations all the time. He insults the military, Christianity, and his Office. And you support him because....he wears the right jersey? No, you irrationally hate "the left" and therefore default to accepting absolutely anything from the right as your show of loyalty.
