It's a NYT story based on Fiona Hill testimony today.

:popcorn2:

Bolton ordered aide to alert White House lawyers about pressure on Ukraine. This story is in the NYT but it's behind a paywall so I can't read it, just the headline.

These depositions are being given by career non-partisan State Dept officials, they're not toadies of Trump's they're strictly patriotic professionals that care about national security. Mick Mulvaney, Rick Perry, Mike Pompeo, Rudy Giuliani and Trump are all going to be indicted sooner or later. As these depositions are being taken, the story just gets deeper, more sinister and it's growing exponentially with each person that appears before Congress. Our heads are going to be spinning and we're going to be very lucky if this country can survive this horrendous mess.

Gordon Sondland will give deposition this week also and he's going to testify that he did told Bill Taylor that "this is not quid pro quo"....... but what he's going to testify is that it was Trump that told him that it was not quid pro quo and he repeated that back to Bill Taylor. That's a whole different thing.

With every deposition, the iceberg emerges from the deep state water just a little more.

According to a source familiar with Fiona Hill testimony, she saw wrongdoing in Ukraine policy and tried to alert people. She also says Sondland and Trump were in direct contact.

But Bolton will never be called to testify because everyone knows he’s more partisan for the GOP then interested in his country.

Gee, I'm not really sure about that. I have a feeling that John Bolton would be honest if called to give deposition. He had enough patriotism to resign.

But he will be called to testify. I don't think he's going to lie and risk going to prison to protect the guy who fired him.

Easiest way to get past the paywall on firefox is to hit Tools>Options>Privacy and Security>Manage Data. Then type in Nytimes in the search websites, then hit "remove selected" and "save changes", clears out the cookies, and you can read the site until you have to clear them again.

Trump's big wall of Fox protectionism is collapsing around him.

WASHINGTON — The effort to pressure Ukraine for political help provoked a heated confrontation inside the White House last summer that so alarmed John R. Bolton, then the national security adviser, that he told an aide to alert White House lawyers, House investigators were told on Monday.

Mr. Bolton got into a sharp exchange on July 10 with Gordon D. Sondland, the Trump donor turned ambassador to the European Union, who was working with Rudolph W. Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, to press Ukraine to investigate Democrats, according to testimony provided to the investigators.

Mr. Bolton instructed Fiona Hill, the senior director for Russian and Eurasian affairs, to notify the chief lawyer for the National Security Council that Mr. Giuliani was working with Mick Mulvaney, the acting White House chief of staff, on a rogue operation with legal implications, Ms. Hill told the investigators, according to two people familiar with her closed-door testimony.

“I am not part of whatever drug deal Rudy and Mulvaney are cooking up,” Mr. Bolton, a Yale-trained lawyer, told Ms. Hill to tell White House lawyers, according to the testimony.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, was paid $500,000 for work he did for a company co-founded by the Ukrainian-American businessman arrested last week on campaign finance charges, Giuliani told Reuters on Monday.

The businessman, Lev Parnas, is a close associate of Giuliani and was involved in his effort to investigate Trump’s political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, who is a leading contender for the 2020 Democratic Party nomination.

Giuliani said Parnas’ company, Boca Raton-based Fraud Guarantee, whose website says it aims to help clients “reduce and mitigate fraud”, engaged Giuliani Partners, a management and security consulting firm, around August 2018. Giuliani said he was hired to consult on Fraud Guarantee’s technologies and provide legal advice on regulatory issues.

Federal prosecutors are “examining Giuliani’s interactions” with Parnas and another Giuliani associate, Igor Fruman, who was also indicted on campaign finance charges, a law enforcement source told Reuters on Sunday.

The New York Times reported last week that Parnas had told associates he paid Giuliani hundreds of thousands of dollars for what Giuliani said was business and legal advice. Giuliani said for the first time on Monday that the total amount was $500,000.

They will retreat to their final defense.

"Ok, it was quid pro quo but so what? It's not impeachable."

They will retreat to their final defense.

"Ok, it was quid pro quo but so what? It's not impeachable."

According to Adam Schiff, there is no need to prove an explicit quid-pro-quo agreement between Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky for Trump's request to Ukraine to investigate the Biden's to be an impeachable offense. It's a clear abuse of power to withhold military aid to a country as leverage to get what he wanted politically.

But Bolton will never be called to testify because everyone knows he’s more partisan for the GOP then interested in his country.

Putin in Saudi Arabia and the UAE right now for the first time in 12 years — OPEC+ — Putin offers the same S-400s to SA that erDOGan has — the USA has 90 B61 nuclear bombs at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey — they’re now hostages — Turkey will keep their S-400s and trump will eventually give them the F-35 — that technology will eventually make it to Putin —

Looks like the original RISK board had it right in the middle of the World with Ukraine and Middle East as the block — Putin now controls both — Israeli newspapers I’m reading have no confidence in trump and know they’re on their own — though I believe India is Israel’s wild card — the MIC of EVERY nation is beyond anything even Eisenhower could have imagined —

imagine — the wasted QUADRILLIONS of $$ on Weapons that none of us can imagine being used — while we destroy this planet with pollution — imagine — having a pr*sident who hasn’t the first clue on foreign policy and a completely hollowed out Executive Branch — and republicoward Senators who won’t act until it really is too late —

There’s so much more. Too much more. This incoherently insane pr*sident’s foreign policy is several orders of magnitude worse than all of his impeachable and removable high crimes and misdemeanors put together. And none of this touches on Domestic Policy. If we are not forsaken by The Creator as mentioned in our Constitution, may It save our future generations.

If you went back in time to the year 2016 and told me that Michael Bolton and Jeff Sessions were the good guys in a Trump Administration, I would have laughed in your face.
