Blowback at Nike over Colin Kaepernick deal

When in doubt, light that **** on fire!

At least they’re burning their own stuff and not someone else’s as has been known to happen when lefties rage. :2razz:

Nothing more American than protest, right? At least people are burning their own **** rather than someone else’s as has been known to happen in the name of protest. I have some Nike socks I won’t be burning. Neither will I run out immediately to buy any Nike anything in a show of solidarity.

Why are some people so intent on everyone worshipping a piece of cloth? Ridiculous.

This is no better or worse or stupid or whatever than protesting or burning the American flag. Where’s all the support for this form of protest?

lol.... I support it entirely. The more articles of clothing each side either boycotts or supports, the easier it will be to tell who is who. I suggest boycotting to the point that each side has their own special uniform. And, since apparently Nike is rejected by the right, it means that the left will be better at running away, catching up, jumping, and playing basketball. Some of those things will have benefits when the civil fashion wars begin...…… ;)

Seriously, though? Whatever floats everyone's boats. Free speech is free speech, and if you wanna burn a hundred dollar pair of running shoes, well... More power to you, I say. At least they can be applauded for their commitment.

The amount of conservatives getting triggered over this is amazing. Really sad. I don't really have any opinion on Kaepernick, but I'm not gonna go and light all my Nike products on fire. Because I'm not an idiot.

We'll see if Nike is hurt in the long-term. Right now this is the initial butthurt reaction. I'm sure concern over this will wane over time.

If in case you do set them ablaze...make sure you take them off first. Don't be like other nimrods who didn't.

I'm too cheap to waste anything. ;)

Nike stuff especially. That **** is way too expensive, and I don't have a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I don't really use Nike all that much anyways. You can get perfectly good athletic products at other places for better prices.

The t-shirts and socks are cloth, sure, but the shoes also include leather and rubber...or were you not referring to Nike gear?

Better than burning other peoples stuff in your own neighborhood to own the conservatives. At least this affects no one but the idiot burning their own property.

So you'd have no problems if I publicly burned my flag I purchased at Walmart with my own money?

This is probably a really good move by Nike. From now on, Nike will be known as one of the good massive cooperations that really cares and it will exempt them from a lot of criticism. Nike gear being made in sweatshops by children in Bangladesh will no longer any kind of an issue (I always thought the kids do a good job). As a capitalist I have to appreciate the marketing.

Shh, don't talk about the children, the REAL reason to boycott them is the Colin Kaepernick deal... ;) haha

...Wait. Did I Say Walmart. Sorry, I meant the flag I bought at Walmart.

Please don't burn down any Walmarts.

We don’t burn businesses as a form of protest. To answer to your earlier question more seriously, I’d have zero issue with you burning anything that’s yours as a form of protest, you know, so long as it’s safe and not going to catch anything else on fire.

I do think it is more stupid than burning the flag. Flags are cheaper than shoes. :)

I admit, I love their shox. I actually just had to throw old an old pair and it just about killed me but when you can stick your finger in a hole in the bottom of the shoe, it's time to say goodbye.

No, I agree. I love em, too. especially those Elite socks.

And considering they're paying next to nothing for Chinese manufacturers to make their stuff, you'd think they could pass along the savings a little bit.

Nike prices their shoes by a lot because thats how much the public is willing to pay for them.

Go for it.

What ever floats your boat.

You all say it would not bother you all, but look how you all are over someone not standing for a song.

Next you all are going to tell me all Confederate statues should come down asap.

The pig sock spoke volumes.

You are welcome to your opinion also.
