Racism will only become obsolete once the concept of race itself is recognized for the irrational superstition that it is. People who fight for the advancement of one race over another are only perpetuating the problem.
Black Tea Partiers Rebut NAACP
And my favorite line in the whole piece..........
Excerpted from “Black tea partiers rebut NAACP” By ANDY BARR, Politico, 7/14/10 1:11 PM EDT
Some African-American tea party candidates are displeased by a resolution that the NAACP approved on Tuesday calling the grass-roots conservative movement “racist.”
Excerpted from “NAACP resolution condemns racism in tea party” By HEATHER HOLLINGSWORTH, Associated Press Writer, Yahoo! News, Tue Jul 13, 7:59 pm ET
Leaders of the country's largest civil rights organization accused tea party activists on Tuesday of tolerating bigotry and approved a resolution condemning racism within the political movement.

So the first line of the article demonstrates that these Tea Party members didn't trouble themselves to actually read the NAACP resolution.
If one actually troubles oneself to read the coverage of the NAACP resolution's passage, one quickly realizes that the accusation is not that the Tea Party is “racist” but that it has tolerated racism within its ranks, for which, I would add, there is abundant evidence for.
It's a simple declaration that the Tea Party should endorse, that it does not condone or support racism within its own membership or anywhere else for that matter. Period. That there is any controversy about this whatsoever, indicates that some within the Tea Party leadership aren't comfortable with that declaration.
Think Progress Issues Fake Racist Pics To NAACP
In yet another display of disrespect to black people, Think Progress has apparently provided fake pictures of Tea Party ‘racism’ to the NAACP.
In the PR Newswire story ‘CAIR Backs NAACP Resolution on Tea Party Racism’, a link is provided to the NAACP website story of their resolution against the Tea Party. That story contains many jpegs of Tea Party participants holding signs with racist verbiage. One problem: the pictures are fakes.
As a professional Photoshop artist of over ten years, I found these fakes not hard to spot.
Upon close inspection you can see the digital artifacts around the letters on the signs in question. Clearly the resolution of the signs don’t match the smoother, higher resolution of the jpeg’s background. The other pictures on the site are equally suspect.
MOST PEOPLE have NO TRUCK with racism and never have. MOST PEOPLE are too busy taking care of our live, families, jobs, to BE racist let alone inclined to be.

I'm getting so tired of this. It just goes on and on, day in day out, about the tea party being racist.

I'm delighted to hear this. I was afraid the Tea Party would back up and fold under pressure from a special interest group, but it sounds like maybe they'll hold their ground against ridiculous public and political pressure. Kudos for them.
Just to muddy the waters a bit....

This shouldn't surprise anyone, but it will.
Racists vote like everyone else. By not repudiating some of the racist demonstrators, they are saying "come on in." "We want you with us." Yes, the Tea Party is courting the racist vote. If they were to say racism is wrong and we do not support any members who would make racist posters or statements, those people would disappear. By not simply stating that racism is wrong, the Tea Party is saying loud and clear that they want the racists with them.
Oh, I rather think Democrats and Republicans have crossed over that Rubicon and condemned racism as wrong. The NAACP is just pointing to the all too well known cases over the past year and saying Tea Party, you too must cross over to this side of truth and justice.
I call BS. If every single political ideology group and party wants to renouce racism, fine. Racism is one of those things that may be wrong, but it's not illegal, and excluding racists from one group is no different from excluding them from another group. When Democrats and Republics start denying racists their right to participate, come and we'll talk again.
-We believe in the essential American ideal that we are not constrained by the circumstances of birth but can make of our lives what we will. Unfortunately, for too many, that ideal is not a reality. We have more work to do. Democrats will fight to end discrimination based on race, sex, ethnicity, national origin, language, religion.
Democratic Party Platforms: 2008 Democratic Party Platform
We consider discrimination based on sex, race, age, religion, creed, disability, or national origin to be immoral, and we will strongly enforce anti-discrimination statutes. We ask all to join us in rejecting the forces of hatred and bigotry and in denouncing all who practice or promote racism, anti-Semitism, ethnic prejudice, or religious intolerance.

-At Tea Party Patriots we will continue to condemn the fringe elements of the movement and any expression of racism or bigotry. We sincerely hope that the Obama While House, the NAACP, and the liberal left will follow our lead and do the same in their own ranks. I am not aware of any political party that doesn't have their share of whackos. But the Tea Party, like the GOP, MUST make a concerted effort to seperate themselves from the fringe elements, the Becksters, the Limbaughnuts, as these people, due to their loud whining, have come to define the right and the truth is, that simply isn't so. It has cost the GOP and conservatives, as a whole, dearly. I do understand, however, why they would be reluctant to chastise this element as it probably makes up 12-20 percent of their voting block. That would be like the democrats standing against their supporters who look upon welfare as an entitlement. Perhaps there should be 3 party's. Democrats, Republicans and outright idiots. The idiots would probably take 12%-20% of the vote and the GOP and the Dems could fight over the other 80%. (Percentage numbers are just speculative on my part.)

The problem we have here is that there are questions regarding who and what the Tea Party people really believe and represent. They claim to be a movement with no leaders so naturally people can do their own thing including act in a racist manner. What document has the Tea Party produced that states their beliefs in governing. For all I know, they may be for electing a king. In Kentucky, Rand Paul, a claimed tea party candidate has stated that he would have actually supported discrimination. Rand Paul Still Defending Racial Discrimination
PS-Racism by itself is not against the law, but Racist Acts such as discriminating on hiring voting and hate crimes based upon race are against the law. So should I call a BS on your BS?

NAACP President Ben Jealous said Thursday that the resolution passed by the group on Wednesday does not call the tea party "racist."
The resolution the NAACP approved Wednesday at its annual conference in Kansas City, Mo., alleges that the tea party has used racial epithets against President Barack Obama and has verbally and physically abused African-American members of Congress.
A portion of the resolution does indeed characterize the behavior as “racist,” but Jealous said Thursday during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the resolution was not intended to condemn the entire movement as such.

There. Better. Now the Tea Party (Aka GOP right) people can say they would be totally against any racist elements in their group. They are, aren't they? Aren't they? Aren't they?
Can you tell me if the NAACP has ever passed a resolution against any other group for something that was "alleged" to have happened? There is no proof that any congressman had racials slurs directed at him or was spat upon. There is no proof that any tea partier did such a thing. Again, if you didn't read above, there is a 100,000 dollar reward to anyone who can prove it happened. I've seen 4 different camera angles of the "alleged " incident. Nothing happened. Brietbart offered the congressman 100,000 dollar for a charity if he would take a polygraph stating that it did happen. I think the congressman has since retracted his statement yet the media keeps repeating the same lie over and over. The N word was not being shouted. Not once and not 15 times as was stated. The only thing being shouted was KILL THE BILL KILL THE BILL. And no one hocked a loogey at anyone.
I don't care if the resolution wasn't meant to condemn the entire tea party. There is no proof any of it should be condemned. The whole resolution was brought about to make the Tea Party out to be racist.
It'd be like the Boy Scouts of American going on national television and demanding the Girl Scouts condemn all their members who said the Boy Scouts had cooties. The girl scouts don't know anyone who said that. It never happened. Do they say OK, we condemn them or no we don't condemn them because it didn't happen or we will condemn it when it happens. No matter what, the seed is planted that maybe the girl scouts think the boy scouts have cooties.
Another thing, why didn't the NAACP make a resolution to get SEIU to condemn it's members who beat up a black conservative? Oh, I know, because that black man was just an Uncle Tom, House Negro, or a traitor to his race. Besides, they are democrats.
The Big Lie (German: Große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, for a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously." *snip*
Later, Joseph Goebbels put forth a slightly different theory which has come to be more commonly associated with the expression "big lie." Goebbels wrote the following paragraph in an article dated 12 January 1941, 16 years after Hitler's first use of the phrase "big lie," titled "Aus Churchills Lügenfabrik" and translated "From Churchill's Lie Factory." It was published in Die Zeit ohne Beispiel.
That is of course rather painful for those involved. One should not as a rule reveal one's secrets, since one does not know if and when one may need them again. The essential English leadership secret does not depend on particular intelligence. Rather, it depends on a remarkably stupid thick-headedness. The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.[2]
