Aranda grabbed Landen, and threw him off the 3rd floor balcony in front of Landen's mother, who had to stand by helplessly and watch her son plummet 40 feet to the first floor. Thankfully, the boy is strong beyond his tiny size, and still alive, though in critical condition.

The total news coverage these types of stories receive amounts to a small fraction of stories like Jussie Smollett's hoax, the Michael Brown case in Ferguson, and the two black men asked to leave a Starbuck's in Philadelphia for loitering without purchasing anything.

I guess the overall sentiment from these crimes is that there's no lesson to be learned, no bigger picture to be seen? Or is there?

One glaring problem with comparing rates of psychopathy by race, is the political implications which prevents psychiatry professionals from conducting an honest study of the topic. The most recent study available is from 1991, and relies upon using self-reporting measures of study participants, which is an unreliable resource. A better indication of the racial differences of psychopathy levels would be the prevalence of violence in black communities, the unique proclivity towards public displays of violence and looting during riots involving anger over the perceived maltreatment of someone the vast majority of rioters have never even met, and the homicide differences between races, which again point towards higher levels of black psychopathy when considering 1 out of every 2 murderers in America is black, in spite of the fact that 9 out of 10 Americans are not black.
