Disagree and so does the constitution's preamble.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,[note 1] promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.​

It doesn't end with ...and to ensure to put all this in the back seat to pinch penny's.

That doesn’t mean what you think it means. Hence the 16th amendment.

I don’t want to pinch pennies but if you think the government (federal) is being operated at an efficient level then..... I don’t know what to say.

The preamble states the entire intent of the constitution. That many on the right likes to dismiss it is telling. The rest is you straw-manning an argument I had not made.
 

Boy, they really don't like Warren, do they? That's troublesome...especially if she gets the nomination. I think the wheels might be coming off her campaign because she doesn't have a plan for health insurance.

Warren's plan is Medicare for All. Same as Bernie's. The only thing she hasn't done is put up her financing plan of M4A which is apparently coming.


She basically adopted Bernie's healthcare plan. I'm curious if she's going to also adopt his funding plan?

The courts might not have used the Preamble as a "decisive factor in case adjudication"...but they have used it in case law...

'Pursuit of happiness' was originally 'pursuit of property' and property used to mean slaves.

And the government can't guarantee you will find happiness...it can only protect your right to pursue it.

She's getting a lot of **** for bragging about her M4A plan and not having any details on it by now. People are beginning to wonder about her. Biden, Sanders and Klobuchar have all commented on it. I wouldn't be surprised if she adopted one of Bernie's funding plan ideas. Apparently, he has five or six to choose from.

She's catching a lot of **** because she's the front runner now. Aside from Bernie, I don't think any of them have put out much in details. It seems to be the new thing to hold back on details so that your opponents don't start fabricating slams on the minutia keeping you on the constant defense. I don't agree with this tactic of withholding details but I see what's happening.

I didn’t strawman anything. You asked what I thought the preamble meant/intended. I provided a much more articulate writing than I could put together myself.

The constitution doesn’t guarantee you happiness or success only the opportunity to seek it.

Taxing the rich serves no purpose for the less rich as defined by the powers and limitations of the constitution.

So your argument is moot.

She says she's not going to raise taxes on the middle class...and wants to raise taxes on the wealthy. I think that means she wants the rich to pay for the nations healthcare. Maybe that's why they hate her.

She has been weasel wording kind of about healthcare and taxes. Only because she doesn't want to provide the GOP an easy commercial of her saying, "I will raise your taxes" and of course they will then cut out the part of her saying "but your take home will be bigger because we eliminate healthcare premium deductions from your paycheck."

Her weasel words are giving her Dem competitors talking points and she has to beat them first. Klobuchar is taking the ball and running with it. Keep your eye on Klobuchar...she's gaining momentum with moderates.

He needs older people, too. If you look at his crowds, they're almost all young white faces and many of them are the same supporters from 2016.
