"Billinaires shouldn't exist." Do you agree with Bernie?

Billionaires shouldn't exist -- do you agree?

Bernie has never been and never wanted to be a Communist. The people who say that are Republicans afraid of losing freedoms and totally unwilling to accept the facts. Democratc socialism is not even close to Communism.

It is under the socialism umbrella, isn't it?

People should have the freedom to succeed and become rich.

Becoming rich is the incentive that drives investment, productivity, and innovation. No innovation ever came out of socialist countries.

Yeah. Except the first satellite and the first man in space.

But other than that...

Bernie has never been and never wanted to be a Communist.

Bernie IS a communist, you would know this if you have paid any attention to his words, actions & history.

That's just what our communist friend Bernie wants you to believe. Useful idiots we can be,... if we choose to be.

You go ahead, I want none of that. I like America as a free country.

Lower taxes on the rich. The wealthy's wealth grows exponentially while the middle/working class standard of living crashes. Federal debt rises as government borrows the money to pay for it. Lower taxes on the rich have no impact on GDP growth.

He is a Democratic socialist. I have paid a lot of attention to this. The only people who call him a Communist are Republicans.

Nope, it is a lot more government control than socialism. Total government control, in fact.

No.... I'm talking about democratic socialism, BD. Democratic socialism is under the umbrella of "socialism," isn't it?

If they have earned it, they can keep it. Many of them offer a service we are more than willing to use. Zuckerberg, Bloomberg, Bezos, Gates....

Oh sorry, I thought you were referring to Communism.

Democratic sociailsm is different. Republicans are the people who make up this silly idea they are the same just to throw hate on Bernie Sanders. Throughout the debate last night, moderators called him a Democratic socialist, not a socialist - for a good reason.

Here is the difference:

Democratic socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives.

Democracy and socialism go hand in hand. All over the world, wherever the idea of democracy has taken root, the vision of socialism has taken root as well—everywhere but in the United States. Because of this, many false ideas about socialism have developed in the US.

What is Democratic Socialism? - Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)

So democratic socialism is under the socialism umbrella, right?

It's a badly worded question. Does a yes vote mean you think Billionaires should exist, or that you agree they should not exist?

I think billionaires should exist. A billion ain't worth what it used to.

For example, at 22 Kylie Jenner is worth a billion dollars. Self made too. Every penny of it earned.

It's not a badly worded question. I quoted Bernie Sanders and asked if you agreed. You're the only one who has been confused.

Fair enough, but the vote is still off by one. It should be one fewer 'yes' votes and one more 'no'.

Did you click on the link? That tells you everyting you need to know, so I don't need to answer any more questions about it.

I believe he meant in a perfect world there would be no billionaires and the money would flow more equally among the people. I don't believe he wants to eliminate them physically. Capitalism is at its best when the natural flow of more and more money going into fewer and fewer hands is controlled in some way. It can be done without bankrupting all the billionaires and in the long run everybody loses if the whole thing falls down and it will. The current rate of wealth concentration is unsustainable.

Because, for some reason, you're hell-bent on never saying that democratic socialism is a segment of socialism. Why is that?

If one thinks about it... there should be no Leftist Billionaires, nor Leftist Millionaires...

If Leftists would only live consistent with the bull**** they screech.

They wouldn’t fly around in private jets, own massive houses and the like...

I’m all for people having as much as they can make in a legal fashion, but these Leftists screecher hypocrites are just the biggest hunks of hypocrite bull**** on the planet.

If they’re going to screech the bull**** they do, they should lead by example and live the life they claim others should live. But they don’t. They’re just bull**** artists... types like Bernie Sanders and so much of Hollywood.

There's some prominent environmentalists that match that description. Just sayin'

The problem is everyone who calls Bernie Sanders a socialist is not telling the truth. That is obviously intentional when Republicans say it. I don't need to say any more than that because you now have the link to all of the answers.

(Let's pretend everything is spelled correctly in the title.)

I don't think it should be impossible to be a billionaire, but I don't see the point of hoarding this much money. It just seems unhealthy to me to be hoarding this much money.

Aren't you doing something similar here by refusing to state the fact that democratic socialism is under the socialism umbrella? Is it obviously intentional that you keep bypassing the question?

By posting a link to the DSA I proved beyond doubt there is no reason to call Bernie Sanders a socialist. The DSA has all of the information you need to fully understand exactly what democratic socialism is.

The only possible intent of your question is to call me a liar for refusing to admit Bernie Sanders is a socialist when all of my Internet research proves me right. There is no other way to read it.
