I love the comments to this video. Just a few highlights:

"i wonder if this was how romans felt just before their empire collapsed"

"
as a left leaning guy, this is **** and I'm Christian now."

"
Bill Nye is literally leading people to Christ in the comment section. What a time to be alive ladies and gentlemen..."

"
I'm so sorry religious conservatives...you were right...please forgive me...we should have listened..."

RIP society.

As a person leaning to the "left" I just see it as retardation.

It's super cringy to be sure.

What the heck is this garbage?

I think it's hilarious that constitutional conservatives, time and time again show they are hypocrites. They will say they are for free speech, but when something like this comes out, they will shame it.

Also a bone to pick about double standards between the sexes.

Mickey Avalon came out with a song called "My Dick" In it he boasts about sexual prowess and it's just a funny, stupid, catchy song. This vagina song is stupid too, but, it receives all manner of blowback from people concerned that women are talking about their genitals too much. It shows the patriarchy is alive and well, that people have an implicit bias, even women.. and we still have a long way to go in dismantling the patriarchy.

Shaming things is free speech. :)

HEHEHE don't kill me.

Oh, I know, but someone who defends free speech on principle, not case by case, essentially telling someone, they're engaging in "too free" of speech is hilarious.

The more degenerate, the more gossip, the higher the ratings.

Good job everybody.

To me, it doesn't matter what you do or say, as long as it doesn't harm anyone else or the government. However, the backlash on statements can unfairly drive someone from doing what they are doing, but this backlash on Bill Nye won't change anything I'm sure.

I'm guessing you're a Bernie Bro that objects to women expressing their sexuality in non-objectifying ways.

Please, not more of the Bernie Bro myth. I guess anyone who is critical of HRC for legitimate reasons is a sexist. Just like anyone who criticisized Obama was a racist. That is the most tired argument in the book.

I am against the perversion of what you call "women expressing their sexuality." Look at that, its disgusting, I disapprove of what they do, but I respect their right to do that regardless. Anyway, slutty behavior doesn't appeal to me.

Considering that this video clip comes from "Louder with Crowder", the sexist, bigoted comments are not unexpected as few rational persons would be following that very unfunny clown.

Is it not part of free speech that we're allowed to criticize the garbage that people come up with?

Bill Nye the Garbage Guy.

Why do people even give this twit the time of day? He's become a political attention whoring fraud .

Seems like he's just trying to be coy with edgy people. Judging by the comments section may not be the most accurate way to gauge the eccentricities of Bill Nye's crowd.

Still I can understand where the knee jerk reaction is coming from. To at least one of Bill Nye, the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend lady, and the producer, this was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek. But it's totally inaccessible to the majority of male viewers, so we don't really know what to make of it, and we don't particularly care for it. I think it's pretty normal to tune out this kind of flamboyant nonsense, or to engage it with extremely attenuated attention.

When I was watching Bill Nye the Science guy, I didn't tune it out, because I was genuinely interested in science and movies. I'm not genuinely interested in all women, and I find some women unattractive. If this was the only video I had seen this week, and the rest of my time was spent listening to my teacher, then the video might have been interesting.

Oh and by the way, I think that most red pills are unmarried, so that might have something to do with it. Just a hunch.

Yeah, except nobody said that. Please quit making **** up, m'kay?

The comments are from YouTube. Try and pay attention.

Please don't make the mistake of taking AA seriously. There is no way he says the things he does in good faith.

Phys251 actually "liked" that garbage, so take that as you will as well, but note it.

I have very diverse views that range from hardcore conservative to ubber liberal. I been checking out nye on netflix and the guy is really freaky. Like jonestown freaky. What creeps me about him is that he does not present ideas to people to be consider. He tries to tell people what they should think. Im a full blooded unapologetic athesist who wants no part of the kool-aide he is passing around.

Many atheists are willing to coexist with others who don't share their views. Not all atheists expect Christians to scientifically prove their faith. That tolerance may be the quality that most contemporary atheists wish spiritual people had.

Example: intolerance for trans people sometimes takes the form of sympathy for tortured, confused people. Gay people have expressed that this type of sentiment is not applicable to them on the grounds that homosexuality was somehow forced upon them, so it seems possible that trans people might feel the same way about people who want to save them from themselves.

That's why it's queer for Christians to reconcile their sense of righteousness with their failure to appreciate the nuances of the lives of other people.
