You're acting as though this is the first time I've seen a child get hoisted up and held as a shield against actual discussion.
Another cool story, you're on a roll
When her best and most repeated words are "How dare you" it's obvious that her argument isn't coming from place of intellectual thought....
Again, she doesn't claim to be a scientist. Her position is "you're screwing up the planet for every generation after you, so get to work." No one should be surprised that sometimes, a simple message can be highly effective.
Just because she's a child and is being touted as some sort of herald by the left, does not in fact guard her from criticism.
Actually, just being human ought to "shield" her from
ad hominem attacks. The fact that she's a teen only makes your attacks that much more distasteful and inappropriate.
It was a truly idiotic notion to sail on a boat, in place of taking a flight.
And yet, if she flew, chances are you'd attack her for being a hypocrite, since a) flying is worse for the climate than taking a sailboat and b) she decided not to fly, and convinced her mother not to fly, years ago. (We also routinely see deniers snarkily attack environmental activists and/or climate scientists for flying.)
If all of this happening is really just her doing.
No, actually, it isn't. COP25 was planned to be held in Chile, and she had planned her schedule to make it there on time. Due to political unrest in Chile and the difficulties in finding a new location, it moved to Madrid only 1 month before it starts. We should note that she's not the only person caught out, as delegations from numerous nations also now need to change their plans.
Then she quickly proved herself to idealistically stunted [etc etc]
Yaay, yet more personal attacks on a teen. Yes, that definitely disproves the science
and her tactics. See how that doesn't work?
