I just watched the Bernie town hall on FOX news. It was very interesting, and although I do not agree with many of Bernie's stances I enjoyed listening to his opinion and I was very impressed with the fact that he was allowed to answer without being interrupted. I also thought that FOX did a great job of keeping it fair and balanced. Martha and Bret did a terrific job. 2020 is going to interesting...for sure.

Martha and Brett are the best in the business. Keith Ellison is an idiot.

****, I missed the town hall. Highlights of interest or key points made?

They allowed him to speak. To say what was on his mind. They truly were fair and balanced. I will say capitalism has been good to Bernie. ;)

My home town and place of work. Glad to see fox hosted it here, the corpse of American greed, which ruined the lives of American workers at bethlehem steel and those of us who were for the longest time forced to work ****ty positions because those bethlehem steel employees had to continue working thanks to their pensions being sold out.

Sanders did an excellent job. Baier is a solid interviewer but he looked a little... rotund. Maccallum was fair. They asked hard questions and Sanders killed it.

Sanders 2020.

Bernie needs to go away.

Trump would trounce him.

This is a smart strategy from Bernie. He's not afraid to touch on what Hillary didn't.

The rich should pay more taxes, "free" healthcare for all, "free" college for all, etc. Some great idea's but I was disappointed that he really gave no true way for it all to be paid for, other than for the rich to cover all the bases.

What nuanced criticism of Bernie's platform. Your analysis will be treasured forever.

I think he did a good job for sure. But, I really wish he had given more details on exactly where the funds for all his ideas are actually going to come from. There were very few actual details in his answer.

There was nothing interesting. Nothing new, not really anything substantial. The only interesting thing I thought was that he refused to answer if he supported abortions up to birth.

I did notice he never really answered that specific question. Although he did say he thought that the issue of abortion was between a woman and her doctor.

Nobody in the democratic party is for socialism as an economic system.

Killing a child after you give birth has nothing to do with a decision between a woman and her doctor. But yes, he tends to not actually have any specifics behind what he states.

Are you suggesting that no politician in the democratic party is for socialism? Or anyone in the democratic party?

He has real proposals to pay for it. That's a nonsense sound byte.

More nonsense. All of his proposals are coupled with exactly what it says in the tin. He has real policy proposals to pay for all of his plans.

You need to go read them on his website.

If that is the case...he was given the floor to explain them. He opted not to. I was willing to listen.

Entirely false. Saying things like "Amazon will pay their fair share" is not real policy.

Are you suggesting that we're not enjoying the benefits of the socialist programs that have already been enacted in this country? Actually Socialism is by definition is a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole. No one here is advocating for that. But what the GOP has been for is 'socialism' for the rich and rugged individualism or harsh capitalism for the rest.

This isn't a real proposal. Granted, it is more specific than any of Trump's bull****, but it's not a serious proposal to fund his Medicare for all plan.

Moreover, he never really comes out and says that the only way that Medicare for All would result in lower over all health spending as a percentage of GDP in this country would be for doctors, particularly specialists, to make less than they do now. He rails against pharmaceutical companies, but that is only 10% of overall health spending.

It is just not a serious proposal.

He said you’ll get free health care, and in a follow up question said, your taxes will go up, shocker, oh yeah, free college tuition, and he wants to build housing on the border and hire more judges to house and expedite immigration.

PS, get rid of nuclear power plants...basically the new green deal

Can you answer my question rather than attempt to deflect with trying to define things that I didn't ask you to define?

I liked Bernie's response to a question about healthcare, specifically when the hosts asked the audience how many of them get healthcare from their employer...and Sanders held his hand up too.

You don't understand what policy is, do you?

Amazon being taxed appropriately is a big deal. Tax policy is real policy.

Only folks who voted for Donald would think differently.
