Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said he thinks every U.S. citizen, even the convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, should be allowed to vote in American elections.

Sanders offered his stance at a CNN town hall Monday when asked whether he thought felons should be allowed to vote while they’re incarcerated, not just after their release.

He was pressed on whether it was appropriate to enfranchise sex offenders or someone convicted of a heinous crime like Tsarnaev, who with his brother carried out the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing that left three dead and injured hundreds more

The town hall last night lost my vote for Bernie, and now I help Klobuchar and Warren to break the astrological model like we nearly did with Clinton, settle for your choice of Biden, or see what happens if McAuliffe enters the race.

Totally off the wall is Sanders on this point.

Warren was a little off and Klobuchar looks like she has the most real plan and knows how to get it done.

There's no reason Warren can't get us her two percent wealth tax and free college from her position in the Senate.

I guess you guys are right in that most American terrorists are right wing extremists that would almost certainly vote Republican, so maybe we could make an exception for them to not vote. Otherwise, no, inmates do not lose all of their constitutional rights, only a handful, and the vast, vast majority of people in prison have never been convicted of a crime. We have a system where there are only two options in the ballot so I do not see the harm in letting all American citizens vote without exception.

I know as conservatives that's going to be a very foreign concept as you've likely got an entire laundry list of reasons you want to strip voting rights from people, innocent and not.

i'm generally ok with people getting their right to vote back once they have completed their sentences and probation with some exceptions. the Boston terrorist will never complete his sentence, so i don't support him voting. also, **** a terrorist. he can rot in jail.

You seem to miss the corollary, and that is restoring Constitutional rights to even those who've committed felonies. Pedophiles and terrorists.
