1. The Ukraine government that Manafort was working for was a Kremlin back puppet government.
2. Was Trump saying that Russia should be let back into the G8 an example of Trump being tougher on Russia? Keep in mind that it's the Obama sanctions that Russia was trying to get lifted in the Trump Tower meeting. Is Trump believing Putin over our own intelligence an example of him being tough on Russia?
If you're honestly going to claim that Trump has been tougher on Russia after all the praise he has heaped on Putin then you're no longer a rational person regarding this subject.
1. Not entirely. But in any event, it wasn't Russia for whom Manafort repped.
2. Clinton supported the admission of Russia, and Obama favored its expulsion. However, Russia remains a member of the g-20, which people, who follow this kind of stuff anyhow, say is more important than g-7.
Is sending military aid to Ukraine tougher on Russia than not sending military aid? How about striking energy deals with the Baltic states and Poland, the objective being to undercut their reliance on Russia?
