Armed citizens capture escaped murderers in Georgia

Again, what you believe about guns means nothing. YOU can be armed to teeth because [/i]its' yo rhat unda the second 'mendment[/i] and if a crook gets the drop on you, you're screwed.

Packin around a gun only indicates that - you are afraid to walk the streets of your own neighborhood, OR you must make a political statement, although you really don't know why or both: usually both.

And I've no idea what a LEO is... but I'd help a cop or anybody else out of a bad situation any day of the week, just because it's the right thing to do; I've got nothing to prove.

Someone who has an irrational fear of weapons.
 
There is another thread on this and I posted an press interview with the homeowner.

The homeowner was taking his wife and kids to get out of there in his car after he saw the prisoners. But due to his car looking like a police car the prisoners waved their shirt to him and gave up. They both lied face down on his driveway in surrender. They had lost their guns in previous car they wrecked.

Totally bizarre ending with the two murderers just giving themselves up because they thought he was the police.

Opening fire like that when it's a physical altercation is the height of stupidity in my view. The passerby could just have easily joined in physically and overwhelmed the assailant and separated him from his weapon at the same time. In the time it took for the passerby to check, and then go back to his car and return, the assailant could have killed the officer.

A silly move; unnecessary.

Yet it worked out just fine...maybe you are not capable but don't assume others are not. Typical elitest view.

Alternative scenario: the passerby moves to physically intervene and gets shot for his trouble.

You haven't posted anything closely related to common sense since you've been here and you've been here for more than 5 years. Just because you would have handled this situation differently doesn't mean that you were right and they were wrong. But your underlying theme is that people shouldn't need guns to protect themselves, or stop someone trying to steal their vehicle. And let's not forget that the homeowner and the neighbor would have been outnumbered. Maybe you should try to use some common sense before you comment on a situation like this in the future?

I'm addressing the topic while pointing out that you fail to grasp common sense in any of your posts. So are you going to comment on the topic at hand or just try to have a back and forth with me and your inability to grasp common sense in any of your 23k+ posts.

And your assuming he gets the drop on you(but possible). Going into something where the other maybe armed?Yes I will be armed simply because I don't know for sure, plus I hung up my 9th degree black belt years ago.

Me thinks that jet talks a good story with his keyboard I mean anyone can be a superhero. But I think most of us given the choice will take being armed and not with a cellphone.
