To me its just common sense, how about you?
I've been resistant to National ID all my life but I'm coming to change my mind. It would certainly solve all the Voter ID and immigration fraud questions. It's not like they can't track us anyway so why fight it any longer.
You already have a national ID, your social security number. What's the big deal?
I live in a small town they point to my name when I sign in to vote anyways. And they already have all of my information when I registered.
It is an infringement of liberty that serves no practical purpose, and disenfranchises a lot of poor people, students, and the elderly. We all know it's a politically calculated move to prevent Democratic voters from casting their ballots. Can we please stop pretending it's anything else?

It has a very practical purpose- that of preventing fraudulent voting, and preserving the integrity of our voting process.
So when the Republican Pennsylvania House majority leader says that the Voting ID law will help win Romney the election, that's not preserving the integrity of our voting process.
I don't really care who says what, about whom, as long as the integrity of the process is preserved and people are voting in an honest manner.
The voter ID law is in Pennsylvania!
It's a Social Security card, not valid as ID. ID has description and photos. The SS card is just a number, anybody could show you my SS card and you wouldn't have a clue it wasn't me.
if the SS card doesn't count as ID, then i'm against. if it does, then i have no problem with it.
