Are Christians still all in for Trump? Answer for yourself here…

I think the Christian republicans on this board are going tell you not to judge people.

Or maybe they will give you a pass.

On the contrary. Scripture does not command Christians to never, ever, judge. There are times when making a judgment about another is the right thing to do. Especially when it is between two Christians. But not exclusively so.

I think that this is an incredibly stupid and ugly "gotcha" thread.

It's mostly born out of ignorance. But in this case I believe it is simply hatred.

I don't personally know any Christians who were ever "all in for Trump."

Those that I know have serious misgivings about his character.

Just not serious enough to keep from voting for him and staunchly supporting him in the same numbers they did on election day.

They hide their moral turpitude behind a cross as if it can't be seen. They always have. The only difference is that now they have somebody and something to believe in.....Judgeships. Well I have news for the whole miserable bunch. You simply cannot be assured of how a Judge will rule and you cannot be assured of how a Justice will rule either.

The one certainty is that they will be in robes for life. Personally I have not known many or even any Judges or Justices that one can be assured would vote in a particular ideological vain. Best you can expect is that a Judge or a Justice will remain true to a particular set of judicial standards his entire term, not an ideological standard.

So the Evengelists have given their votes away, and cheaply to a charlatan, to the worst example of everything they claim to oppose and sold off everything they ever told the world they believed in FOR A FANTASY. Enjoy it Evangelists. Enjoy your hypocrisy and your fantasy.....for as long as you are able.

I'm expecting no one to admit it.

But I will get whining from their cell phones in the sanctuary.

Why does it matter to you what a person's religion may be who is voting for Trump? He isn't running to be Pope as far as I can tell. Your questions sound like more of the identity politics so rampant on the left. One might argue that anyone who was Black and voted for Obama just because of his skin color and for no other reason--- was showing their racial bias.

I would argue that most Trump supporters voted for him for what he is NOT rather than what he may be. He wasn't Hillary Clinton and that put enough people in his column to win the election. So if the next democratic candidate is a loon too like Warren or Sanders, then it will be the same thing again. I would submit that the only reason Bloomberg is getting into this now is not because he thinks he has a chance of winning, but because he like many other democrats closer to the center are in fear of the disaster of the 'down ballot results should Warren actually overtake Biden to win the nomination. Therefore no chance of holding the HofR or taking control of the Senate. Because as Biden continues to uninspired the democratic base, and Warren and company gain ground, it will be clear a lot of democrat votes will elect to sit this one out. Which WILL NOT be the case with Republican votes this time around with Trump. Trump was able to defeat Hillary even with so many "never Trumpers" in the Republican party. I do not think that will be the case next year.

"All in for Trump"? No. I was never all in for Trump. Didn't vote for him in the primary. Have never liked the man, even back when he was very popular.

Voted for him in the general election, because the alternative was Hillary, possibly the most crooked politician in living memory including Nixon.

Stand by that. Lesser of two evils is distasteful but sometimes necessary.

Will I vote for him again? Depends on who is running against him.

If I refused to vote for anyone who offended my Christian principles, there would be little point in voting at all. Most politicians are one sort of scum or another. Most elections are more a matter of damage-control than anything positive.

It's mostly born out of ignorance. But in this case I believe it is simply hatred.

I don't know why people can't just live and let live.

Maybe it's because they're "whipped" in their real lives and need an outlet for their aggression.
