temperature at ... Byrd Station*rose by 2.4 degrees Celsius​

Here's the DATA from Byrd Station

If you dump that data into Excel and take the averages for each year
Jan through Dec and then have Excel compute the slope 1957 through
2018 it comes to 0.026 it's then a simple matter to multiply by the 61
years to come up with 1.6°C.

If you do it for 1958 - 2010 from the Nature Geoscience article it
comes to 2.2°C

Here it is graphed out:

A quick and dirty graph mostly because the data was neatly laid out.
It's great when data is displayed in a straight forward manner. For
some reason a lot of data is difficult to find and download and then
decipher. Our friends at NOAA and NASA try to hide theirs. Thank
goodness for the Internet WayBack Machine.

Regarding the Byrd Station record, it looks like yet another sinusoidal
climate pattern that ocillates over a period of decades. The 1958-2010
change of 2.2° is reasonably close to the 2.4° value cited by Vegas
Giant from the Nature Geoscience article.

Not all claims from our good friends on the left come that close to
reality. That's why I checked it out. mostly it's the predictions that
are exaggerated. As Yogi Berra said, “It's tough to make predictions,
especially about the future.” He might have added "Especially if you
exaggerate the crap out of everything."

That's what gets me the most about these true believers.

They fail to acknowledge natural cycles exist. They are deniers of this reality in science.

You aren't offering any proof either. Fact is, they don't know enough to make any proper quantitative assessments. Fact is, the earth has been warmer in past times this interglacier period. Fact is, we didn't have SUVs and {Power plants spewing out CO2 when it was warmer in past times.
