My husband and children are Jewish. How have they treated you with "anti-white" hate?

I see you two went on for several posts. I won't try to add to that except to reiterate that the believers in the Gallipoli campaign, including Churchill, had no idea how bad it would be. The words of Talleyrand are wise: "Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity."

The world owes much to Winston Churchill. He was in 1940-41 the indispensable man.

Thank you for your observation. I mean that. Steve and I surely agree on one point; The Australians and New Zealander's were an absolute necessity and fought bravely in both wars. I believe from what I have read that those troops took a great deal of punishment and stood tall at the end.

My husband's family in Germany and the Netherlands were exterminated, 48 human beings, by people who chanted the same as those white supremacists in Charlottesville. Their American relatives were among those who liberated Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen.

Your being sorry is appreciated. However, I never got a response as to how my family treated the OP with anti-white hate. People who spew that hate are who we should feel sorry for.

Once again, I am sorry that you felt victimized. I won't attempt to speak for TOC. I can't know why he thinks what he does. I haven't walked in his or your shoes. I call here for acceptance of race, religion, and some specific life styles.
I do have to say that this is the first I've heard of anti-Semitism at the protest against/for removing Confederate Icons. I can't see how that would have fit the agenda. I may part ways with you here on the point that there were only evil intentions among the pro Icon group. I find that accusation to be unproven and handy for those who want to set up strawmen in the opposing side.

Geeez. I have attempted to be civil and considerate of your feelings and am surprised that you would call my attempts a load. I have certainly heard of anti-Semitism and find it particularly odd, and certainly unacceptable. What the Nazi's committed on the Jewish population got many of them. not enough perhaps, but many, hung.I will say that you are confusing the legitimate concern of those who cherish their history with Nazi's. I live in the south and have to tell you, many brave southerners fought and died for their cause. Today, in our living rooms as we look back, we can say at the same time, turn down the air conditioning and weren't they awful!? They fought for the wrong side as we look back, but it would be inhumane to dismiss their deaths as a cause for evil. American's have always fought for causes they believe in. And don't be deceived into thinking they fought FOR slavery. That is the victor's definition. They fought for state rights. Slavery was a manifestation of state rights. Wrong as it was; at that time it was only part of the decision to secede. I certainly sense your antenna's being up for anti-Semitism, but don't let others convince you that the Confederacy and anti-Semitism are at all the same thing.

Since only an inhuman monster could engage in anitsemitism, the penalty should be an automatic death sentence, with no trial, since only people are entitled to trials. In fact, just to be thorough, the entire family of any known antisemites should be executed, or at least re-educated.
