All antennae are up, the Mueller report is imminent. Reporters have been notified by the DOJ to 'stand by' as Mueller is about to release his report.

Several things that I believe will happen. The report first goes to William Barr who will formally announce that this probe is finished, then it will go to Trump. Under DOJ regulations, the special counsel must submit a confidential report to Barr explaining who’s been prosecuted and why, as well as who hasn’t been prosecuted and why. Those recommendations from Barr will go to Congress in formal letters. It's completely up to Barr whether he needs a few more weeks to review what Mueller hands over to him and to redact any classified information. Since it will be in William Barr's hands, there will probably be leaks that will come out over the next weeks before it goes to Congress. Robert Mueller will hand Barr a complete and detailed report with details but what we're going to hear about will be a short, concise summary.

The White House lawyers will scour the complete report looking for anything that needs to be redacted or withheld due to executive privilege. Rudy Giuliani has already said he wants to see the document to have a chance to make corrections or include other information. Adding to the tension, there are dozens of sealed indictments that have been filed in D.C. federal court over the two years Mueller’s been at work. These could all be unrelated to the Russia probe. But until Barr or Mueller gives an all-clear, people in Trump's world can't breathe a sigh of relief.

How much if it Barr releases to Congress and to the public is still unknown. I believe it will exonerate Trump as far as collusion with Russia, as we have expected will happen. I'm also pretty certain that this report is simply the end of the Russia portion of the special counsel's investigation and the beginning of many new criminal investigations. As Mueller's office was winding down, it begun handing those cases over to other branches of the Justice Department, including its national security prosecutors and U.S. attorneys offices in Washington and Virginia. Prosecutors in New York will pursue cases involving the Trump Organization.

Stupid question: why is there the ubiquitous expectation that the Mueller report will come out soon, let alone today? As the OP says, "all antennae are up," but I don't know why.

If people keep saying it, one day, they will be right.

I'll hold comment until the report actually comes out.

Maybe because CNN's bobble heads are insinuating it ... again ...

It should also be noted that even if the report is handed to Barr (and again, there's no reason to believe even that is happening soon), there's literally zero reason to assume that we would even see that report for months, if ever.

I hit saturation on this recently, I just can't get worked up about the Mueller report's "imminent" arrival. Too much cry wolf on this topic.

It's been a black hole of "Trump did something bad, but *just wait for Mueller*".

Republicans are condoning Trump...no? They are just waiting for Mueller and kind of playing it close to the vest until then.
National security issue number 1034, should we be concerned as a nation? Wait for Mueller.
WTF happened in Helsinki with our President putting Russia first? Wait.
Did Trump obstruct justice and successful silence stone and Manafort who may have implicated him? Wait.
Was the election even legitimate? Wait.

Someone mentioned they thought Ken Starr being able to disclose public findings throughout Clinton's 4 years under investigation for nothing...ending in impeaching from lying about a BJ, was the better course.
Today, Mueller's constrained in ways Ken Starr was free to act. Is that better? At the time I said yeah, it's better. But is it when you take everything into account? I don't know any longer.

What would have happened if Democrats had not won the House? They certainly didn't all that many answers from Mueller...still waiting.

If Trump's own son-in-law, who shouldn't even be in the WH, couldn't get Top Security Clearance, I am 100% sure Trump could never in a million years have passed top secret clearance. But we hand him the role of commander in chief, able to override any/all matters of national security? Should we wait for Mueller on that too?

What a hot mess. How long will redactions and prep for congress take? And how long after that before the public gets it? It's all a hot mess. I will surely like to see it once it arrives. Until then, not too excited.

Why? What evidence do you have to support that claim?

I have numerous very reliable sources that sometime between 9AM Central Standard this morning and when hell freezes over, the Mueller report will be handed over.

Kinda obvious the source for this is Guliani. One reporter stated the sources would "need to be able to respond to the report", which pretty much says it's the WH behind these rumors. Reporters keep saying sources, but they don't want to say they're stupidly using the WH and rumors within the DOJ as sources.

It's possible Mueller could be ready to turn in his report, but when it does happen the media have no right to pretend they got ahead of the story, as they've been saying this since last April.

My take is that with a few redactions to protect fellow swampers, the entire report will be released. Barr really has no practical choice since the TDS'er will ignore it and create their own narrative anyway, and Trump for all his faults believes in fewer secrets and more transparency.

It will create chaos in the news business. My guess the MSM will shrug it off and continue making up charges to keep viewers. The Mueller thing has been a financial gold mine for the media, and suddenly their narrative is going away. Who can survive on Adam Schiff's daily reports to CNN? The media will distill down to it's lowest component parts.

The big question is whether Barr will appoint a Special Fisherman to go after the players, or just to a less political investigation. The Mueller hoax is unprecedented in American history. If proven to be true as I believe it is, there should be a bunch of life sentences handed out for turning half of America into psychopaths.

Well, Trump lawyers have been saying the Mueller investigation will wrap up since November of 2017, so I don't know why anything Giuliani would have to say would move the needle.

But normally there's some...reason...why people would believe that the report will be handed to Barr today. What I'm seeing seems to be some kind of weird spontaneous herd behavior.

This is why...

In the letter, Rosenstein makes it clear he believes the Department of Justice will not – and cannot without violating long-standing Department of Justice policy – include disparaging or incriminating information about anybody who has not been charged with a crime.
"Punishing wrongdoers through judicial proceedings is only one part of the Department's mission," Rosenstein wrote. "We also have a duty to prevent the disclosure of information that would unfairly tarnish people who are not charged with crimes."

...the report isn't going to be the bombshell that Leftists have worked themselves up for.

Mueller still has ten prosecutors working for him, I don’t think Mueller would be winding down if he had that many high level prosecutors working. Besides, Mueller’s role as special counsel incorporates multiple lines of inquiry and we may not be dealing with one investigation but a series of them.

The WH likes to put the media through these rumors, so that when the report finally comes, it's anti-climatic no matter what it says.

That doesn't explain why there is this sudden, mass belief that the report will be handed over today.

Nope. The Mueller Report will happen next week.... or the week after that ... or maybe the week after that... or maybe

To keep the base fired up.

That's going to be hard to do if the Mueller witch hunt report clears the Trump Administration.

You folks do realize that this "report" could be a simple recitation and rationalization of prosecution and declination decisions by the Special Counsel. That is all he is required to provide. He ain't no Independent Counsel.

Neal Katyal offers five good rules for reading the released report (whenever that will be):

1. Believe only the text of the Report, not others’ characterizations of it. This White House in particular spins “up” as “down” (like the Nunes documents).

2. Ask what the scope of the Report is. Is it just conspiracy with Russia? Does it include, for example, the campaign finance allegations, where federal SDNY prosecutors have said the President ordered the commission of felonies?

3. Examine whether the Report is limited to criminal acts. Some of the most egregious allegations against Trump, like lying to the American people about his business dealings with Russia before the 2016 election and saying he had no biz in Russia, are not necessarily criminal.

Others, like being beholden to the Kremlin out of self interest, may be. Has Mueller only resolved the latter? If not, expect Congress to be taking all of that up.

4. Ask whether Mueller has actually resolved anything. Has he said there are other avenues to investigate for matters within the scope of his Report, such as a sit-down interview with Trump? Again, Congress may investigate further — but also don’t forget about state prosecutors.

5. Ask yourself, if the American people knew in 2016 what Mueller’s Report says, even if the Report says Mueller won’t indict the President, Trump would have won the election. Does this President have the judgment&transparency appropriate to serve as the nation’s highest official?

Don’t focus on the one-line spin. Focus on the facts, judgments, and limitations in the Mueller Report. And ask yourself, if Trump had just been honest and forthcoming about all of this, we could have spared this long ordeal.

Agree and of course ...most already know and understand this....Let "them" drool....they have nothing else but drool.
