I don't believe in God, but I do respect the Ten Commandments. Sounds like you don't.
Really?
You don't seem to know the Ten Commandments either. Short form:
1. I am the LORD thy God, No other gods before me
2. No graven images or likenesses
3. Not take the LORD's name in vain
4. Remember the sabbath day
5. Honour thy father and thy mother
6. Thou shalt not kill
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery
8. Thou shalt not steal
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness
10. Thou shalt not covet
Strange. I don't see anywhere it saying "Thou shalt vaccinate or suffer My wrath" in there. Go figure.
Oh wait! Here's where YOU try to say "Thou Shalt Not Kill" is the applicable command. :naughty
Not quite. The command applies to
willful murder, (and in Hebrew it also means
intentionally destructive behavior i.e.
willful intent to harm).
Now let me say something else. SURPRISE! SURPRISE! I actually have no problems personally about vaccination.
I was vaccinated for Polio, I had whole series of vaccinations while in the Army. I recognize that if I want to travel overseas I am required to take certain vaccinations in order to do so. I have no problem with Tetanus boosters. Etc.
Nope!
My argument is for CHOICE! I can choose NOT to travel overseas and thus avoid vaccinations. I can choose to get Flu shots, but I personally opt not to because I don't catch colds...so why make myself intentionally ill for no reason?
I am all about individual liberty, therefore
I oppose government compulsion when it comes to the most important Liberty...
how one governs the vessel of their consciousness, their own human body.
So if people don't want to be vaccinated, they should not have to be. However, choices have consequences and members of the rest of society can then act to accept or reject further association with them.
That's freedom of association, freedom of expression, freedom, Period!
So I will never support compulsory impositions on an individual's right to choose what goes in or out of their own bodies.
