You still haven't said exactly what kinds of guns you want banned. Does it include BB guns? In some states those are classified as firearms.

All of them would be a good start. Exceptions maybe can be made for a few here and there. Depends on if the immature assholes in our society can handle it or not. Judging by what I see, they can't.

What about the 80 million people who are handling gun ownership well? There aren't 80 million homicides or armed robberies, so someone has to be doing something right.

When I read about this incident I had no doubt that in this country, rabid, mindless anti-gun leftists were going to ignore the actual cause of this incident and focu on guns...gun owners...the eeeeeeeeeebil NRA...and not...

a "neighborhood beef". In a state that already has some of the most ridiculous gun laws in the country AND some of the highest crime rates in the country, leftists ignore poverty, gang violence, and day to day life in black American community and focus on...guns.

Because they 'care'.

Across the country, there are idiots using cars engaging in 'street racing'. This abuse of cars and public roads results in accidents, injury, and death every year...but no one is stupid enough to suggest we should ban cars.
Across the country, distracted drivers using cell phones cause thousands of accidents resulting in injuries and death..yet no one is stupid enough to suggest we ban cars or cell phones.
Across the country, 120 million law abiding citizens have their gun rights threatened because a relatively statistically small number of criminals illegally use guns and some people arent smart enough to recognize that the problem isnt the guns or gun ownership.

Ammunition becomes scarce eventually.

Owners die off.

Many are stolen, used by criminals, and end up in the hands of police.

Are you claiming guns are immortal and if we stop selling them at stores the supply wont reduce at all? The ease of obtaining guns wouldn't change at all? Or maybe the black and white thinking is on the other side, you think my reference to attrition means every single gun would vanish from the earth.

Most of the harm perpetrated by people using firearms are not right wingers and the majority of them are felons who cannot legally own firearms. less than two thousand illegal homicides a year are perpetrated by a person who legally possessed the firearm at the time he committed murder and a bunch of them (like the Turd in Florida who shot up the school) had numerous-but not disqualifying-run ins with the law

lets be honest and this is the bottom line

if all guns were banned, that might decrease gun crime somewhat. But that attitude assumes that good people owning guns has no value.

banning guns would clearly end all the benefit we get from honest people being armed while having little impact on felons who already are banned from possessing firearms. Gun banners dishonestly deny that ownership of firearms by lawful citizens have any benefit
