*It was said, at least in my catechism class as a young Catholic (long long ago blessedly "fallen away") that Peter was so ashamed of his betrayal that his tears etched permanent grooves down his cheeks.

Please note as a clarification, I often draw a distinction between liberal Democrats and progressive Democrats. I respect liberalism but not progressivism, the latter of which I equate to corporate fascism. Unfortunately, it seems clear that many Democrats (and Republicans/conservatives) don't see the difference between liberalism and progressivism.The Sander's campaign is the final death-blow to liberalism within the Democratic Party.

I wish liberals would stop knuckling under to SS Sanders (Socialist Segregationist Sanders) and defend liberalism and their own party.

It is a fact that over 90% of American war deaths in American history have been under Democratic leadership - even counting wars before the Democratic Party came into existence - and the greatest number of American civilians and military personnel in war were killed by Democrats (Civil War) than by any foreign military force in any other war.

We just recently heard the Democratic Party leadership calling for the USA to go to war against Syria, Russia and our NATO ally Turkey - and are now whining that being at war in Afghanistan for 19 years isn't long enough. They want that war to last forever, they want the Cold War against the long-extinct U.S.S.R. to go on forever, just like the Democratic Party supports every possible war - and if there isn't one they'll create it. This is not a defense of the Republican Party, but rather pointing out a clear distinction between the two.

Now? In addition to the lie that Trump cut the CDC budget (he didn't) and that he fired the top CDC staff (he didn't), is the extreme stance of the Democratic Party making the ultimate bizarre claim that because they think $2.1 billion dollars needed NOW isn't enough, then they will give him nothing at least for days. I see nothing but the Democratic Party now trying to spread as much panic as possible trying to crash the stock market because they believe the more they can cause people to suffer, the more they can convince people to blame the President for their own misdeeds.

Unfortunately I suspect that may become more frequent for many members on all sides as this election heats up. Wish it wouldn't. I'm trying to contain myself - but it's not always easy to do. It's not like we haven't been warned. Worse, it reaches a point of just hate-name calling and no debate whatsoever.

Trump in fact did change the Republican Party. Personally, I think for better, but with some downsides. Sander's campaign is running the liberal Democratic Party into extinction, being converted to the Socialist Party. It seems like many people, particularly Democrats, do not understand the distinctions between liberalism and progressivism. In fact, in many ways those two political dogmas and ideologies are the antithesis of each other.
