Wow, you should get yourself educated.....spend time with some wounded veterans. Although we could never understand what they have experienced, we can learn valuable insights into sacrifice, courage, and honor.
Sacrifice for whom? The smug politicians who sent them to fight unwinnable wars, while staying safe at home with their 'deferment' kids? There is no 'honour' in war, except in the minds of novelists and Hollywood screen writers. My 'education' came from my father who fought with the Polish army under General Anders, was wounded three times while taking Monte Cassino and who was equally sceptical about this so-called 'honour' of yours. 'Honour' stops the minute you step off the parade ground with its flags, salutes and ceremonies.
