Who cares? Part of this is natural anyway. probably most of it. The earth naturally slows down from the tidal gravitational resistance of the sun and moon. The effect of melting ice changes the mass balance a little, so yes. like an ice skater the close the mass is to the center, the faster. When some mass moves outward, slower.

This is a known principle of physics. It is nothing new. All a paper does is quantify it, and look how exceptionally small the numbers are.

Pretty much true.

There is merit to a sea level rise slowing the earths rotation. But that is infinitesimal compared to the tidal pulls slowing the earths rotation. Then we still have not established how much sea level rise is natural and how much caused by us. During the next ice age, the earth wall spin faster again. But thee changes are so very small.
