Among Developed Nations American Tax Bills are Below Average

if its big govt its not Republican. NOW do you understand?

Yes, but you obviously don't.

Republicans at the top built up monopolies and worked to control markets while instituting regulations to ensure that no one else could challenge their superiority.

why so afraid to give the best example or real monopoly as requested??? If you had one you'd be happy to present it over and over again!!

if so why are you so afraid to identify the best example?

I am not. Noridian Mutual Insurance company. North Dakota.

97 percent marketshare.

so then you just defeated yourself once again. Its a tiny little company. If that's the worst or most significant monopoly America has produced that proves we don't have to worry about monopolies!!
Moreover, if it has a near monopoly in a tiny little state its only because liberal govt made interstate insurance competition illegal. Do you understand?

Defeat? Hardly... you said they were illegal.. you were wrong. You were just proven wrong. And you don't have the intellectual honesty to admit it.

Do you understand?

.. you said they were illegal.. you were wrong.

We have anti trust laws to make significant monopolies illegal. A tiny near monopoly in a tiny state created by govt making insurance competition illegal would not count as a significant monopoly on 100,000 years!!! Surely you understand now?

They are not illegal as has been proven.. antitrust do not apply to all industries... you are wrong.. you are wrong .. you are wrong. Surely you understand now.. that you are wrong? (one could dare to dream that you would be intellectually honest.. or well.. informed).

The size of the monopoly is irrelevant to the people suffering in its grasp.

liberal govt created the near monopoly by making competition illegal. Do you have any real monopolies in mind or just near monopolies created by liberal monopoly govt??

And, are you now a conservative who wants to allow competition in health care insurance???

Competition is not illegal. and the monopoly is real.

NOW do you understand that you are wrong?

Competition is not illegal.
actually it is McCarren Furguson made interstate competition in health insurance illegal 1946. Did you you think the Girl Scouts did it?

I know it's hard for you to comprehend that someone might have economic liberal leanings while being a little conservative on the social issues, but there I am ... the guy that wants a higher minimum wage and voter ID requirements at the polls.

Anti trust laws do not pertain to all industries. You are wrong. monopolies can and do exist.

interstate competition is not intrastate competition. And its not illegal for intrastate competition. Any company can legally come into ND and compete for the health insurance company marketshare.

somebody should tell Trump since he and Republicans want to switch to interstate competition in health care just like we have in cars and toothpaste, Interesting to learn so much -right?

A bill to allow interstate insurance sales was introduced in Congress in 2005, and, since then, has been a part of the platform of every Republican presidential nominee. Mr. Trump is not alone in his view: Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Rick Santorum and Bobby Jindal have all endorsed it. Aside from repealing the Affordable Care Act, allowing insurers to sell their products across state lines appears to be the most popular health policy idea among the G.O.P. candidates.

Why.. does trump and the republicans not know that intrastate competition occurs in healthcare.? sorry as a republican.. I know that they are not as stupid as you assume. they are just a bit more informed than you are.

But you bring up a point here. Republicans do want to see and increase in competition. And why? because of monopolies that develop in states like north Dakota. You know.. the monopolies that YOU STATE DON;T EXIST AND CAN"T EXIST... Interesting to learn so much right?

So you just blew your own argument up.

I guess they introduced a bill and got it through committee and then learned it was not needed at all???? and McCaran Ferguson does not really exist??
Insurance firms in each state are protected from interstate competition by the federal McCarran-Ferguson Act (1945), which grants states the right to regulate health plans within their borders. Sorry to rock your world.
