In American political discourse today "non-partisan" essentially means "says what the people we want to support us want to hear".
Not only does it NOT say that they WOULD have changed their rating had they met, it does NOT say that they WOULD NOT have changed their rating had they met.
Additionally, the reproduced letter also DOES NOT say anything along the lines of "Having heard the allegations, the committee is going to meet shortly to consider whether it should either change its rating or issue any caveat along the lines of "Should the current investigation produce evidence indicative of confirmation of the allegations, the committee will reconsider its rating and - until that happens - the current rating should be considered to be in abeyance.".
PS - Your "Return to Power By Any Means Necessary" is the same slogan that the Republicans adopt when they are "out of power", whilst "in power" their slogan is "Cling To Power By Any Means Necessary" (which, not surprisingly, is the same slogan as adopted by the Democrats when THEY are "in power").
Here is the problem most fair minded Americans, certainly not the radical left, are thinking

She wanted (Dr. Ford) to remain anonymous, so why is she speaking out now? Or why did the Democrats release the information to the Press?
Here’s the time-line:
In 1982, something happened. In 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989,1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 She said nothing.
In July 25, 2003, President George W. Bush nominated Kavanagh to the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit, Dr. Ford said nothing. In 2004 and 2005 she said nothing.
On May 11, 2006, The United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary recommended confirmation of Judge Kavanagh, and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Dr. Ford said nothing.
On June 1, 2006, Kavanagh is sworn in by Justice Anthony Kennedy, and Dr.Ford said nothing.
In 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, she said nothing.
In 2012, she “remembered” something happened in 1982, yet she said nothing.
In 2013, 2014, and 2015 she said nothing.
In 2016, 2017 and 2018, Dr. Ford professes to be a Liberal activist and an anti-Trump protester.
In 2018, with Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation looming in the horizon, she decides she “should say something” about Kavanaugh’s sexual behavior. Keep in mind that this person has a degree in Clinical Psychology, yet she can’t remember the place or time of the alleged incident.
What’s wrong with this picture??
