Dershowitz has been making some flaky legal opining lately.
I guess it's still true that it depends on whose ox is being gored.

Alan Dershowitz has shown himself to be a complete buttwipe over the last couple of years. Screw him (and the limo he bought with the OJ money) that he rode in on.
Don't you think it's time to let the Hillary thing go?
I can't be responsible for what you delete later, as long as you're defending that prick in the White House and using Hillary as a whipping post you're going to hear about it.
There's a criminal in the White House, the sooner you acknowledge that the sooner the country can begin to heal. Th way you're going you'll be three countries in a few years.
OK, that means you think he is wrong on this?
How ridiculous does it seem the to rest of you that some poster (from England) no less thinks they know the law better than Dershowitz. Beyond laughable.
He believes the power of the executive is essentially absolute and the POTUS cannot obstruct justice.
IOW, he's a loon.
What evidence is there that Dershowitz is right about this?

What makes anyone think that this warrant is anymore valid than the phony one that the FISA court approved based on the "Trump dossier"?
About half made sense and the other half was Digenova style horse bleep. Trump moves 5 steps back every 5 steps forward that Mueller takes. So I don't buy the cooperating trump argument in the first place. At some point, Mueller is going to take 5 steps forward and Trump is going to take 10 steps back and it will become obvious at that point that trump was never cooperative in the first place.
I am myself a bit surprised that DOJ did not request that the Cohen material go to a judge in the first place which is the extended version of the taint team effort.
Well of course... What else would we expect... He dares speak against the chosen ones!
He is not going to get and invites to the Hollywood parties!!The mud is flying high and hard!

Why do you keep posting this idiotic crap?
Tell you what: before you or any other of your fellow Trump Truthers posts one more ludicrous allegation, specifically identify every participant in the vast liberal conspiracy that you dishonestly claim is arrayed against the person you voted for.
I'm sure you'll all keep collecting "likes" from eachother as you spew this idiocy. That's a given. But have you ever stopped to think about what you're saying? Every single time a person does a thing, and that thing is somehow negative for Trump, you claim conspiracy.
Over 33,000 FISA court warrants issued. You didn't care. You only cared about the one targeting Carter Page, the guy who claimed to be a representative (or facilitator?) of the Russian government.
Countless warrants in federal cases have issued. You didn't care. You only cared about the one authorizing a search of Cohen's offices.
The FBI and CIA caught bad guys. You loved that. But now, because Trump is being investigated, they are "corrupt".
The rest of the federal administrative apparatus was lambasted as "big government" with "wasteful regulations". But now, it's all supposed to be a "deep state" against Trump specifically.
On and on the list goes.
So as I ask 9/11 truthers, I now ask you: exactly what explains this? What is the motive? Why is it the motive? Who benefits? What tangible gains have they gotten?
People who don't go along with whatever Trump wants get canned. A whole bunch of the people part of the various things I mentioned are Republican. So many have been in their place for a long time, longer than under Obama. Why would the FBI throw out its collective career to *get* Trump? What boon do you suggest they hope to get by replacing Trump with Pence?
Seriously. What boon? Pence would be a more effective conservative than Trump is. Trump keeps tripping over himself. So why would the liberal menace get rid of Trump and replace him with someone better at what they supposedly hate? WHY?
It's like when people claim that a school shooting is a false flag: they never ever mention who really did it and what they gained by doing it. Can you be different?
I don't want a general non-answer. I want specific answers. Break this post up and answer line by ****ing line. Be the first person I've challenged to answer these questions to actually sit down and think out a logical answer.
WHY? What is the why?
Come again? That is the first time I asked or spoke of it. I asked a simple question and get a wall of strawmen and NO, I want go down your list to answer them all.
Then don't blab about whether or not the FISA warrant for page or this warrant was valid. If you don't have the tools to judge it and you don't even want to bother, then...... why pronounce a judgment?
I'm rather sick and tired of listening to people attack various aspects of Mueller's investigation and what it spawns by claiming corruption, but then never explain who is corrupt, how they know it, or what the person could possibly gain by being corrupt. The only common factor is that the person accused of corruption did or said something that is in some way negative for Trump.
I asked a simple question and evidently struck a nerve.
I do not trust the authorities and how that makes you feel, is no concern of mine.
Context is important.
Basically, Dershowitz argued that because the constitution gives the president the power to fire (or nominate, or pardon, or veto), a president's action in firing an executive official is immune from obstruction of justice charges although he also said Trump is not above the law.

This is what Mr. Dershowitz thinks about the FBI Raid on Cohen's offices.
A definition of Attorney-Client privilege:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attorney–client_privilege
Now it is not absolute:
I agree with Mr. Dershowitz's statement that Mueller is not being partisan in his actions, but he is just "determined to get his target" and the target is on the back of Mr. Trump.
That means he presumes the target has something to be "gotten" and he has to find it or none of the costs of the investigation can be justified.
Anyone over the age of "innocence" (i.e. my definition as the age when a child is not really cognizant of good or bad, right or wrong), accumulates some level of "wrongs" in their lifetimes; the older they get, the more skeletons in the closet.
IMO that's why we expect anyone facing such depths of scrutiny to be revealed as somehow "bad" eventually, and pushing for this scrutiny creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I also agree that instead of the FBI being allowed absolute access to ALL Cohen's files, that a Judge be appointed to determine which, if any of the files, applies to a criminal investigation and rules it accessible to the investigators.
