AG William Barr says 'spying did occur' on Trump campaign, is reviewing whether it was lawful

Actually, he said "I think spying did occur", if your link is correct.

And then he ham handedly walked it back and then when Schumer asked him for EVIDENCE, he admitted he had none.
Yeah, disbar this fat load of toadiness.

You under stand the "right now" part, yes? His testimony was measured and thoughtful and at times he just said "I'm not got to talk about that now".

I understand that Haymarket stated Barr admitted to not having evidence, to which you replied with: What? When? I just watched his testimony and he was pretty clear.

So yes, speaking on what he said today was he has no specific evidence.

That much is clear.

Many of you people need to stop making it up and pay attention to what AG said today.

"Spying on a campaign is a big deal," Barr told a Senate panel Wednesday. "I think spying did occur. The question is whether it was adequately predicated."

"I am not saying that improper surveillance occurred," Barr told the Senate Appropriations subcommittee. "I am concerned about it. There is a basis for my concern."

And then he ham handedly walked it back and then when Schumer asked him for EVIDENCE, he admitted he had none.
Yeah, disbar this fat load of toadiness.

I watched a ton of today's events and can't believe how he was sputtering and stuttering. My state Senator Shaheen asked him a question. He couldn't even answer it. I was waiting for him to say "Derp".

He has a "feeling". You know. Just a feeling. No evidence. Just that feeling one gets.

Barr looked absolutely insane today. I was impressed with him in the "interview" for the AG role. But that performance today was downright embarrassing.

Yeah, buddy! That post isn't going to age well.

As in, it's going to be fun to watch those who actually believe that nonsense run from it and pretend they never believed it.
Kinda like all the "Trump colluded with the Russians" posts from a couple of years ago?

My favorite part of today's testimony was when he was asked by one of the Senators (I can't remember which one, but it was a male) if Mueller agreed with his assessment of the obstruction of justice. His answer? I don't know. So he made a decision without discussing it Mueller? Mueller himself couldn't exonerate him.

Barr seems to think he's da man in charge, and everyone needs to simply obey.

No wonder he wants that thing redacted to death. He obviously has something to hide.

You forgot to add Barack Obama, the Clintons, Loretta Lynch, Leon Panetta, Donna Brazile, Adam Schiff, and everyone else to your post. You're slipping.

There turns may come.

The comment by Barr was great.
Yes, we all already knew it ... despite half of us never admitting it.
But I loved the matter-of-fact way he said it like "Where the hell have you been, Senator?".
All the exploding heads after hearing it was a bonus.

Yep!
I just love the way the anti-Trump peeps are trying to tell us what Barr meant this morning.
I think it was pretty clear that Barr said he was concerned about illegal surveillance, admits that their was surveillance of Trump and his campaign, and that there is a basis for his concern that it was not predicated, though he admitted he was not saying illegal surveillance did occur. Hence, a review of the spying will happen as a result because of his concerns.. Don't forget the IG report is coming out next month as well. Tick tock, tick tock.

Yeah, disbar this fat load of toadiness.

So shall we disbar everyone, or even outright fire those that pushed the whole collusion narrative without evidence?

Yep!

What's cracking me up is the number of loonies clinging to the fact Barr said "I think . . ." as if that indicates some level of uncertainty. Grasping at straws, oozing desperation. The bottom line is that Barr is a sharp lawyer and AG, he's not going to leak anything or disclose the inner working of his office.

Wow! I watched a lot of coverage today too and I got the biggest chuckle out of Shaheen having a problem with Barr declaring he believes the Trump campaign was spied on. She was speechless, talk about stuttering!!!! It was priceless.

As it turns out, Barr said exactly nothing today at that hearing. No evidence, kept walking it back, walking it back some more when pressed. That was a bad showing for Barr today.

You would have to be blind in one eye and can't see out of the other and deaf in both ears to come to such a conclusion.

Nah, he said a lot.
It's clear to me that Trump haters either 1) were too stupid to grasp what he said 2) or completely discounted what he said this morning, because as Trump haters like to say, "Barr's a Trump toadie." ;)

No, he didn't say anything. No evidence, no "I looked at all of the information and have come to this conclusion", no "I have had many meetings with staff to discuss it". Nothing at all. When pressed, he kept backpedaling better than my sons can do on their bicycles.

He said nothing other than "I think.....", and then went on to give caveat after caveat.

Nothing about hating Trump here. You should stop going into a panic because others don't love Trump. If you do, that's good, but you shouldn't project your emotions towards a man you don't even know on others, and maybe consider discussing what Barr said.

Is that what they're saying on The Conservative Treehouse?

She wasn't speechless. She asked questions. He was speechless. Of course, you didn't see it. Trump doesn't allow you to see what's in front of you.

At least you admit he only "declared" that he "believes" it. Of course, the smart people know that already. Looks like you just caught on.

"I have no specific evidence that I would cite right now. I do have questions about it."

Straight out of the horses mouth.

So great, he's got questions about it. Investigate and get back to us, but let's not pretend he did not say what he said.

I have no specific evidence that I would cite right now

Wow, you really are desperate. So sad. Hope some day things get better for you.

Wow, that was a brilliant retort. Things are actually quite good for me. I'm not desperate enough to need a piece of lying liberal trash like Donald Trump to save me from the Deep State and terrible skeery uneducated Hondurans coming here to steal my lettuce picking job. Like Trump fans.

I hope Trump can make your life better for you!
