All this talk of illegalities and nary a word about Trump.
I know the current talking point is that he was doing a stand-up routine on the south-lawn, but in the annals of history, that is an all time bull**** job.
I will, though, make a deal with you, once impeachment is over, I will fully back the right going after any Democrat that they think did something on par with what Trump has already admitted to doing.

I agree that in the annuls of history, this is all time BS.

The Democrats have nothing. They have never had anything. Along the way they are mocking the institutions they are sworn to uphold, just because he pisses them off. When you compare it to the sort of thing Hillary was allowed to do, it becomes tragedy.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who has played a leading role in investigating the Trump-Ukraine scandal, is facing questions about his own connection to a Soviet-born businessman who has raised money for his campaign and whose company has received lucrative defense contracts from Ukraine's government.
That man is Igor Pasternak, the founder and CEO of Worldwide Aeros Corp., which makes blimps for military and commercial customers. His business has also been involved in weapons manufacturing, working with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense to produce a modified version of the M4 and M16 rifles, according to reports.

“Before this time, Schiff rarely, if ever, mentioned Ukraine,” Fox News’ Laura Ingraham said on her show Thursday night, after detailing Schiff’s connection to Pasternak. “But after the fundraiser, he used multiple television appearances to basically demand that we send money and arms to them.”

This is yet more blow back from the failed impeachment attempt. I call it failed because it's just a matter of time until its thrown out.
This is something we should start to look into and know about. Seems more and more we are seeing corruption from the left wing relative to Russia/Ukraine. I recommend you guys take a good hard look into Pasternak and his dealings with Adam Schiff.

My position is that its entirely appropriate for both of them to be investigated and if evidence of a crime is unearthed, those should be dealt with accountability. I apply one standard to both men.

I doubt that. The official WH position is that the president cannot be investigated. That's what they told the judge.

Therefore the president cannot be impeached because to impeach a president without an investigation is ridiculous.

Igor was a naturalized citizen of the US when he had the fund raiser for Schiff.

The fundraiser was legal.

At no point did Schiff use Igor as a conduit to demand anything of the Ukrainian government.

Schiff's current elected status and position does not allow him to make demands of the Ukrainian government, unlike Trump.

All that has been revealed is that Ukrainian-born, US citizen held a fundraiser for Schiff. There's nothing here. You are grasping at straws.

What is it that you doubt?

Pardon my scepticism but I doubt you hold both men to the same standard.

This is a standard ploy of Trump's. Someone, based on some evidence, suggests that evidence be investigated. Then Trump turns it right around, based on no evidence, and suggests someone else be investigated.

Example: Someone used the word "treason" in the same sentence with the word "Trump." Almost immediately Trump suggests that Pelosi be charged with treason.

Another: Trump admits that he was "making a deal" with the Ukrainian president to look into the "corruption" of the democratic frontrunner. When he was informed (by his own people) that was illegal, he immediately starts throwing out completely unsubstantiated claims that Biden had made illegal deals.

Another: When Mitt Romney expressed his outrage at what Trump had done to the kurds, suggesting impeachment was a possibility, immediately Trump suggests that Romney be impeached. Based on what? Romney's criticism of Trump? Seriously?

So, when you claim to want both men held to the same standard, I call BS. There is not the slightest shred of evidence that Biden or his son have done ANYTHING illegal. And Trump never suggested they actually had, until he was made aware that what he had done on the phone (gimme some dirt on Biden) was cause for alarm. Then it was all hands on deck! Biden! Biden! Biden!

No, you are comparing apples and oranges. What Biden admitted to is not equal to what Trump admitted to. One is normal diplomatic operations. The other is abuse of power.
