The truth is -- the words of the National Anthem support ONE thing -- our freedom that was fought and died for. Do these lyrics suggest anything else to you?

Bull****. The flag doesn't belong to the military. Each branch has its own.

The flag represents our nation, and protesting injustice is what our country is founded upon. Literally.

Incorrect -- the anthem that it's traditional to stand for out of respect -- has a very specific story behind it.

Learn it.

It used to be tradition to do a "nazi salute" during the pledge of allegiance at school. Only they didn't call it that yet because the Nazis hadn't done their thing yet.

For the last seventy years, have we been disrespecting the flag during the pledge of allegiance because we don't do that specific salute any more as tradition demanded?

The fact you were unwilling to say "yes" to my question proves my point.

Democrats want to raise taxes on the rich. Poor, oppressed rich people! They shouldn't complain, right? Because rich people have it good, it doesn't matter how anyone treats them. Right? Is this really the path you want to take?

Also, given that soccer players are often millionaires, I'd say quite a few countries.

Police swear to uphold the constitution.

The flag and the anthem represent the constitution.

So if people sworn to uphold the constitution are misbehaving, the symbols can be protested.

As in "why should I show respect for the symbols of the constitution if those sworn to uphold it are violating peoples rights."

Pretty simple, direct connection.

Id be interested in hearing his opinion if he knew what the protesters were kneeling in protest over. Then again...I thinks fun watching the protesters fumbling to describe what they are protesting over. As a Combat Veteran and 20 year retiree, I support everyone's right to peacefully protest. As Ive said before...I just wish their protests werent so ****ing stupid.

Everybody has experienced racism, regardless of race.

What hasn't happened, is none of these jerkoffs have been victimized by The United States, nor her flag.
