13 arrested, 4 injured at Portland right wing rally: Police

They are from florida. Why did they have to come to Portland to spread their ideas? Couldn't they have just done this in their backyards?

Protesters like trump get their events in the paper.

You forgot one...

Antics = anarchists

Assuming you made a typo and meant Antics = anarchists, you are the first conservative I've seen on this forum correctly understand this.

Oh, I’m American and I don’t = antifa, so you are wrong there.

This does raise the question of which side you would have been on in World War II.

I’m not supporting any side in this, I’m supporting Constitutional freedoms.

In the United States, US citizens are allowed to travel freely. That includes domestic terrorists like the NDP supported Antifa, or White Supremacists and Nazi's.

Would your world require authorization to travel from one zone to the other?

We've seen that in the past history. It wasn't a good thing.

I'd think reveling that objective is probably not a good idea

Dude, you guys are freaking out about antifa interrupting a far right rally that they knew was going to be in town. So since you logically assume that antifa knew the proud boys would show up and assuming the proud boys knew this beforehand as well...why didn't the nazi idiots just stay in Florida in their backyards...

Wouldn't that be practicing the most non aggression? Then they could shoot any antifa that may have come onto their own property.

Maybe they're tired of Florida Man and want to create Portland Man?

KKK = Nazis
Americans = Anti-facists

Seems clear to me which side to support.

I am one that doesn't think that the violence seen today on either side of the argument, promotes anything. And just turns off American's on both sides of the political spectrum that just wish that we could return to a more civil way of handling our disagreements...

But, If you are really going to come in here and label all those who believe as you do as "American's", and all those who don't agree with your ideological viewpoints as "Nazi's" then I would suggest that you are completely part of the problem.

Your bizarre rant is quite entertaining, but as to having a point, I can find no evidence it exists.

it's simple. If they wanted peace, like you all are claiming, then they could have just stayed home and had a BBQ. Thus saving themselves and portland tons of money.

Antics, antifa, anarchist, etc... one in the same.

This does raise the question of which side you would have been on in World War II.
Certainly not the side of Nazis, antifa types, anarchist. I go with our Constitution, best choice we've got.

The Proud Boys encourage political violence. That is their mission. Odd organization to go to bat for, JMO.

i dont think he is in particular going to bat for "the proud boys" but i may be wrong

i think he is going to bat for the 1st amendment

which we should ALL be going to bat for

i hate some of these groups, their ideology, and their messages

but i served in the armed services...and i respect the first amendment...and i believe EVERYONE has the right to speak and have their say

and we as a country have a right to completely dismiss their ideals and be strong enough to stand up for what is right

THAT IS WHAT I THINK HE WAS TRYING TO SAY

if not, it is what i am saying.....

"Very fine people on both sides"

Who said that? Surely I didn't....But, if you have nothing else but to throw out childish BS, rather than have an honest discussion, then there is obviously nothing to discuss....

I think that if your intent is to get into fights, cause vandalism, or in general put at risk the general welfare of the public, that you should stay at home regardless of what side you are on.

Yes. I agree. ANTIFA is to blame, as well. If ANTIFA didn't dominate the streets of Portland, there wouldn't be a counter-protest by the ultra right who has a equal penchant for violence.

The proud boys are at most, a fraternity. They can be chauvinistic yes, but that is not in the same manner as many would believe it to be.

They aren't neo-Nazis, fascist, or anything of the such. They're just a group that likes to hang around together, and they like to be proud of their country, or more in line with being proud about the western world that they're a part of.

They're more akin to the little rascals, than to an actual fraternity, and being a member is more akin to being a part of a group that you can just hang out with from time to time.

They don't really have literature, there is no philanthropic nature to their group. Hell, one of the slogans I first ran into about the group was "Like Archie Bunker, we long for the days when girls were girls and men were men."

Interesting.

Thank you for sharing.

I won't be joining, but sounds a lot less sleazy/dangerous than, say, the Democrat Party.

That thing is a criminal gang.

Ah, I see...So, even though PB group had the permits, and this is supposed to be America, and one can hold a permitted rally, even though there are many who don't agree with their message, because members on the political left will cause violence then the permitted ones should cancel their rally....

Isn't that how 'fascists' operate?

"Very fine people on both sides"

Maybe you think there aren't any very fine people on either side in Charlottesville (or Portland)? Ultra-right nor ANTIFA?

I'd be more easy on them and say that it's triggering leftist. I still score as a liberal on several scales, just more moderate than I was back in 2016.

Well, triggering alt-leftists anyway.

They're the neo-Nazis of the left, and no more representative of the left than out-of-the-closet neo-Nazis represent the right's values.

But alt-lefties see themselves in neo-Nazis, hence the rage and violence they perpetrate.

Takes a fascist to know one & all that.

So you are confirming you want to restrict the free movement of citizens in the United States.

Got it.

The prez went to bat for ANTIFA, too. Equally odd organization. Mebe Trump was exercising their 1st amendment rights? Hum?

According to one report I saw on TV, the Nazis were walking around with shirts saying "Not today Antifa." They weren't there to keep the peace.

T-shirts incite violence!

We need common sense clothing control!!!!

:donkeyfla

Antifa's tactics might have worked at punk shows in the 80's, but they are getting played right now. The more they show up in black wearing masks and smashing things, the worse it looks and the more publicity these right wing idiots get. By trying to silence them, Antifa is just handing them a megaphone.

And one to themselves as well.

Virtue signalers aren't moral - they just want whatever attention they can get.

Antifa = The neo-Nazis of the left

Got it.

I don't understand the conservative need to seek out confrontation, while claiming they are non-aggressive, and then later act like the victim when people tell them they shouldn't do that.
