Is the virus thing overblown? A hoax?

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been there, had the same symptoms in Jan-Feb, took six weeks to start feeling better. Try inhaling steam through a humidifier or if you don't have one do what our moms did for many of us 'back in the day', a pot of steaming water on the stove, put your face in the steam with a towel over your head making a tent. Also, if you feel more congestion on one lung than the other, when you lie down, lay on that side that's most affected, not on the 'clear' lung side. One last thing I can offer that may help. A good portion of your lung volume is in your back, so try laying down on your stomach or side in order for the greater portion of your lungs to expand.

I'm wishing you well, I'm sure you're going to be just fine. Take it day by day. Drink lots of fluids!
 
Define hysteria.

There has never been a reason to shut down Montana, for example. On the other side, Mark Cuomo managed to kill at least 10,000 people by ignoring what the MDs were telling him. There is a clear cut right approach, which is underscored by the very decisive medical numbers.

Florida got it right. Protect the at risk population with diligence and let the rest continue with minimal intervention. Even the latest so-called surge is not resulting in a comparable surge of new hospitalizations.

To answer the OP you need more information, but clearly the country severely overreacted to some irresponsible predictions.

I know you mean well but God helps those who help themselves, meaning you should do something personally that will help people before they end up like 'grip' and do nothing more than suggest they go swallow communion or get down on their knees to pray. That really isn't helping the other people that you may infect by not wearing a damned mask.

I wonder what's going on with antibodies found in the blood of those who survived...there was talk of placing them in the bodies of those afflicted...

Also, there's the Right to Try Act passed by trump... U have a right to try a drug not yet approved by fda ... If I had the virus I would ask for Hydroxychloroquine

I have offered knowledge I have besides this suggestion about Eucharist ..and no idea y you mention receiving Communion. Only Catholics not in mortal sin can receive. But anyone can go to a Catholic church or chapel and be in the Lord's Presence

The last word from the CDC on the death rate from contracting Covid-19 was 0.4%. When you take into account the fact that 80% of those deaths occur in people over 65, and 92% for people 55 and older, overblown is an understatement. We shut down our entire economy not for a few weeks as we were first told it was going to be, but for months. Remind me, what is the standard retirement age in the US again? For school aged children under 15, the chances of dying at the hands of Covid-19 are astronomical, yet schools are still shut down.

What's really sad about this is, there are still many states who want to continue the lock downs even though the numbers just don't justify it... I think everyone knows full well why this has been overblown, so I'm not going to bother even saying it.

I think we are overreacting to it but its not a hoax. Its a serious thing if you get it and people should use common sense and practice good hygene to avoid contracting it.
The theatrical virtue signaling and the hysterics is all a matter of political convenience.

Cases are shooting through the roof in many states

Death rates are sure to follow

The state's and people who followed Trump's advice are in trouble

I can't believe that we are having this conversation

The actions taken to contain the virus has sparked protests that I can't rightly condemn, yet despite such dratic measures, we have lost well over a hundred thousand people in a matter of months. I don't know how much more would die without such measures taken. Logic dictates that it would obviously be more, and the spread would be quicker, but I cannot honestly say as to how much more, or how quicker. I don't want more people to do die more than what is neccessary, especially for the allmight dollar, so I wash my hands often, mask up, and socially distance when and where possible.

We don't need the government or corporations to tell us 'when it's safe.' This crisis is a litmus test that will prove whether or not we are quite responsible to take on that role, ourselves. Be responsible, be safe, and be aware.

It is not a binary solution. It was possible to open in a careful measured way while still maintaining social distancing and mask wearing. But noooo, far too many had to run out to the beaches and corner bar to get their fix.

So here we are, close to having to start the lockdown all over again because some are just too stupid to learn.

If you didn't it shows that you factually say one thing but believe another. According to you, only morons think it is a hoax. If you actually believe that then you should have denounced those actively massing in crowds spreading the disease across America. Did you denounce this at any point? If not it looks like you are a the topic of your own post. I have countless posts denouncing them for spreading disease. So which is it, is it a hoax or did you make any posts denouncing protestors for spreading this disease? Lets hope you have some eh? Otherwise it looks like you do believe it was a hoax which will be hilarious.

I don't think Covid 19 is a hoax but I do believe it is possible that it was deliberately released as a cover for something else. The reaction to it seems miles over the top when you look how the laid back Swedish response hasn't led to a terrible outcome when compared to other countries.

One of my favourite conspiracy theories (I do like a good conspiracy theory:lol:) is that this was done to save the banking system. The banks were on the brink, a virus gets released which means society goes into lock down , lock down requires massive lending from the banking system...banks saved!:lamo

Sweden has 50% more death/population compared to the US.

Compared to similar countries, Sweden's results are terrible and getting worse.

Norway is 46 deaths per million. Sweden is 523. That's more than ten times Norway's death/pop. You can't claim 523 is not a terrible outcome compared to 46. It is very terrible in comparison.

I absolutely nailed you and you know it. Its either pandemic or it is not. Or are you showing an even deeper level of stupidity in which your need to protest outweighs the need to not spread deadly disease to millions of innocent people of all colors across the nation? Take a minute and think before answering. The latter demonstrates moron on a level that darwin awards would be proud of.

As I've said, one can say that coronavirus is a real issue and also say that police brutality is a real issue.

I've had this discussion before...many more Swedes live in cities than Germans do (for instance). The Swedes also have a lot of "new comers" who don't like being told what to do...
