Some, as you said are not about protesting, their goal is anarchy. Those should be dealt with harshly, the vast majority should be listened to

The anger and rage won't go away as long as racial injustices are routinely ignored within the broader American society.
White America historically does its best to forget why racial profiling, insensitivity, prejudice and police brutality cause rage in our minority communities.
To suggest that there's nothing to get upset about in the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery Feb 23 and George Floyd May 25 because of black-on-black murders is ignorant and insensitive.

Until we get rid of public employee unions and the concept of "internal investigations" then not much is likely to change.

I would say Refom is what is needed, but disagree with getting rid of them altogether.

Asking these folks to "reform" themselves is ridiculous. Getting a state/city to prosecute it's own employees is not going to happen without totally eliminating the concept of "internal investigations". When crimes committed by government agents are treated as "personnel matters" or blamed on management/training "deficiencies" then there is little (if any) hope of "reform" from within.
 
I support the peaceful protests, not the rioting.

Protesting and rioting are opposites.

Rioters are taking advantage of the cover of crowds to loot and steal, they have no interest as to why the actual protesters are out there...

It will not be "the haters" that you seem to think have ruined a perfect Trump presidency.
It will be the MAJORITY of American voters who in 5 months will return your hero to the golf course where he can do less damage.

I understand the protests, I even understand the resulting violence but I don't support it. Looting and rioting only cause the establishment to dig in and defend themselves. They would change and respond better to vehement condemnations from the majority.

The black lives of those seen stealing in the name of Floyd DO NOT MATTER. The white lives of those stealing and pillaging in the name of Floyd DO NOT MATTER.

The protests have turned into riots. There are no protests anymore.

They've torched St. John's in D.C., the UDC headquarters, the National Civil War Naval Museum, the Lincoln Memorial has been vandalized (ironic as hell), the WW2 Memorial was vandalized, the list goes on.

Under most states' stand your ground laws and in every state of the union-if someone violently breaks into your home or your business, you are justified in using lethal force to stop them. The law PRESUMES that someone who breaks into an occupied building, when the intruders know or should know it is occupied, are intending to harm the occupants. So if you own say a jewelry store and you lock the door and say closed and you are visible in the store, and some mope starts smashing the glass out of your front door, that justifies you shooting him.

some posters see this unrest as something they can use to bash Trump or bait others with. It is pretty obvious when that happens
