Removal from Office

will the Republicans in the senate vote to remove trump from office.

I didn't vote in the poll. I'm tending to say no the senate will do nothing. Say some poo poo stuff, give him a slight tap on the wrist and declare it does not rise to impeachment.

BUT, as with nixon, if enough bombshells drop the senate might have no choice but to remove him and truthfully it isn't looking good for trump.

Quite the twister, aren't you? To take the simple proposition of protecting the rights of those I disagree and turn it into this silly assault is confusing, no, more puzzling. Of course the KGB as an arm of the USSR doesn't exist, but its bastard child of Russian counterintelligence is alive and well. I have zero confidence in the GOP doing anything but act in their own self-interest. As long as Mitch is stacking the courts, they will keep Trump in power. Given what evidence we already know exists and testimony from witnesses, the crimes are obvious and the remedy is clear. Trump will be impeached by the House where it will die a quick death.

What is the factual basis proving "High Crimes and Misdemeanors" required by the Constitution for Impeachment to proceed?

Impeachment is a purely political process.

Politics is a swindle based in lies and deceit.

Impeachment is fruit of that tree.

In this case, Impeachment is an exercise destined to fail. Do you think Mitch is going to allow a conviction in the Senate?

Trump said Obama gave "pillows and Sheets". Your defend Obama's strong response to the Russian Invasion saying that he DID provide "military aid".

In the minds of most people, the military does many things, but primarily, they kill people and break things.

NOTHING provided to Ukraine by Obama was designed to or intended to kill people or break things. Equipment that does those two things are what prevent an invading army from invading.

Pillows and sheets may be hyperbolic, bit it is pretty accurate in describing the aid sent. The Ukrainians, stripped of their nuclear deterrent, needed weapons. Obama refused them what they needed.

Of course, Obama also stood by idly while the Russians annexed Crimea, so there was a precedent for abandoning Ukraine and ignoring promises in the Budapest Memorandum.

In addition to the "sheets and Pillows", Obama also sent broken promises. The memorandum was not actually a Treaty, so he wasn't legally obligated to act. As a country we promised. As a country, we broke our promise(s).
